It was Fair. I don't feel, I am able to provide a good judgement at this time as far as the food goes. It all looked Delicious. I went with my Brother. I did have only Soup and Salad. It was good. I had like a Cezar Salad. Doctored it up with some extras like other cheeses. It was Good. I just was Hungry. I suffer with GERD and IBS. So I couldn't eat a lot. I got some Cheese and Broccoli Soup. It was Good. All the other Food looked good. My Brother had no Trouble Eating what He Got. No complaints at all. He had two or three plates of different meats, some vegitables. The Sweet tea was excellent. I ju sd t can't drink a lot at one time. I was full on the Little bit of Salad I had. The iceberg lettice, I think , it All was as Fresh as could be. The corn bread and roll I got was Fresh and Hot. Really good. Then the couple taste of Desert I got was good. Peach cobbler and Red Velvet cake was good. Just didn't feel good yesterday. Had been at the Doctors, taking my Brother for his Appointment. I hadn't had much sleep the night before. I do want to comment on one thing Though. Our Waitress was SUPREME, SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND IN KEEPING OUR GLASSES FULL OF TEA. ALWAYS CHECKING TO SEE IF WE NEEDED ANY THING. SHE WAS VERY KIND AND SUBPRIME IN DOING HER JOB, AND DESERVES AN ATTA GIRL IN MY BOOK. SHE SHOULD GET A BONUS IN HER PAY. She attended to Us and All Her Other Tables in Doing Her Job. I wish I would have felt better, but I don't eat much no matter where I go. It was all very Clean as Far around where the Food Was. All around it was clean, and the amount to be served was kept up. The Only thing , I could say anything negative, was the Ladies Bathroom could have been used more ATTENDING, IT WAS A LITTLE ON THE NEGATIVE OF CLEANLINESS. I wouldn't say , it was exactly dirty, but just needed to be checked on more for being kept clean. My Overall Experience was Good, and if I could eat more, And lived closer. I would maybe go more. I know my Brother Loves it. He goes at least once a week, if not 2 to 3 times, especially if he's up that way...Take Care, and keep up the Good Work. I know my Brother wishes they never would have closed the store in Warner Robins Ga. I liked that one too. Working atvRAFB. we all eat there quiet often. We had our Retirement Dinners there, as on many other Occasions like Christmas and Thanksgiving, Birthday Dinners. With the Population being what it is. Golden Corral should consider opening another Store...God Bless and Thanks Again for Asking for My Rating on my...
Read moreWorst experience I've ever had in any Golden Corral.
I've been to Golden Corral in North Carolina hundreds of times since I was in middle school to this very day and never experienced anything like this.
After we received our drinks and sat them down we left the table to go get our food. When we returned there were an extra three cups of tea( that should have been our refill) sitting on the table. We later realized we were the only table this had occurred to with that server. Being the only African American family sitting in her section and seeing this brought up several questions from my mother and grandmother .
Once we got our food and began to eat things seemed to get worse. The mac and cheese was cold and thick. I know they may bot use real cheese, but it tasted straight out of a frozen bag. The chicken wings were cold , dry, tasteless nonetheless. The gravy from my mashed potatoes tasted like like it had been in the can for years, and was so bad I couldn't even finish eating them. The pot roast was cooked perfectly but was terribly over salted. Lastly I looked for honey spread to go on my yeast roll (my favorite thing in the restaurant) and when I could not find any I asked my server. The butter that they now use compared to what I have tasted before was terrible. It had already melted at the bottom and tasted horrible.
The only enjoyable part of my meal was the dessert I picked up at the end. One of the 1st Golden Corral's I've been to where the chocolate from the chocolate fountain has not hardened within five minutes.
The worst part was feeling like every employee was staring at us because of the food we watsed. We could tell that our waiter had somewhat of an issue with the fact we wasted our food, but that felt like no reason for any employee to act the way they did. A manager did end up checking on us after awhile but that was only after our plates of food sat on the table for 15 plus minutes.
The restaurant seems very nice and so did the management, BUT I'd you are particular person this is not the...
Read moreA little pricey. The waitress could have been more attentive. You would see her at first but then it would be quite sometime before you would see her again. In the meantime, our glasses would be empty and we would have a long wait for the next refill. To her defense, the place was a little crowded. The food was inconsistent, some was very good and hot; like the fish, shrimp, chicken wings, the baked potato and biscuits to name a few. The sugar free blueberry pie was delicious. The steak was a little dry but edible. It would have been nice if the condiments weren't almost empty, especially the steake sauce. The salad was very good and had a lot of toppings. Overall, there was a nice selection of food to choose from; although there were times when they ran out of food and it took the cooks a while for them to replace it.
However, other foods were not so good. The macaroni and cheese was luke warm and lacked flavor, the brisket was dry and nasty, the chicken breast was over cooked and dry, the carrot cake was inconsistent. One person at my table stated that it was good but later when another party at the table tried it, the cake was dried out. The first cake had ran out and was replaced by another carrot cake, that was not as good as the first. The ice cream was actually ice milk or some other ice cream substitute. The quality of the "ice cream" was very poor. The seasoned potatoes had a weird after taste.
The restaurant on whole was clean, however the seating was a little crowded for my taste. Would I go again? Yes, mainly because my 13 year old daughter really...
