*Ill edit my review and add one star because they did attempt to make this right. After the issue i have posted previously, I spoke with customer service and they offered me a $40 gift certificate for the issue. While i thought that was generous and would come in handy, i sent my child to get his oil changed there this week so he could use the voucher only to find out it cost more here using the voucher than if i get it done at another lube service. Therefore the voucher wont be used unfortunately. We will just go elsewhere and get good service with competitive pricing.
The service was fast. But the price I feel was totally out of line and higher than anywhere I've ever been. Back story: ordered tires thru Amazon and had them delivered to Mavis for install. Long story short I paid for 2 tires to be installed thru Amazon and it was $15.99 per tire. Good deal!! Other places I've us3d for install was $20 per tire, still not bad. Unfortunately. AMAZON messed up and refunded me for 2 of the 4 install fees. So I figured I'd just pay for the other 2 at Mavis the day of install. I sent my son over (his car and this was part of his Christmas) I spoke with the guy the day before and he said bring it in he would get them installed. They called me the day of install while my son was there and said they could only find where i paid for 2 installs thru Amazon and I said yes correct I will owe you for the other 2. I asked how much and he said $39.99 PER TIRE. I said what? It's only $15.99 on Amazon. He said yes that's thru Amazon we charge $39.99. I said we'll don't install thr other 2, I'll take them somewhere cheaper because I've never paid that much anywhere else. He then told me ma'am we already installed all 4 tires they are on the car now. So I didn't have a choice at that point. Moral of the story...its my fault for not asking ahead of time, but i had no idea the install would cost almost as much as i paid per tire. Ive done this many times and had tires delivered to other places and NEVER paid this much. I checked online/google and what i can see is the fee is $15.99 regardless if the tires were purchased thru amazon or wherever So i feel like i was definitely OVERCHARGED. With that said, I will never do business there again. What should of cost no more than $40 cost $80 and thats price gauging IMO. Otherwise the service was fast and no...
Read moreI took my car in to have my A/C checked last week. They had it in the shop for about a hour a a half before telling me the A/C issues are electrical. I drive home and my engine starts running hot in my yard, I get out and smell coolant. I pop my hood and there is liquid around the coolant reservoir. I call them and they unsure me that no one touched any parts near my coolant. I was recommended to bring the car back for them to check. I'm headed back there when my car runs all the way hot and the began putting out engine messages. I pull over and call back and they are still saying no one touched any parts dealing with the coolant but to bring it in. I explained that I was on the way in and it began overheating, the manager recommended me to let it cool down then to drive it in. I'm glad I didn't listen to him, my engine would've gave out. I ended up having to get the car towed to the shop. They go under the hood and turns out one of them broke my coolant hose. They never addressed or owned up to there mistake and they never offered to reimburse me for having to have my car towed. I basically had to pay for there mistake, would...
Read moreDO NOT GO TO MAVIS. Despite all of the 5 star reviews I caution you against going to these under-qualified tire techs. I worked in the tire & breaks industry for over 10 years and I do all my work on my truck myself except the work that requires machines. I called ahead and explained to them that I have custom rims and they said we can do it no problem. Then once I get there the tire techs are taking forever to get to the truck so I figure it might be that they are just busy. I patiently wait for another 1 1/2 hours for them to still be on the first tire. they then call me in the garage and try to blame the machine not being able to grip the rims. I explained exactly how your suppose to change a tire like mine and I watched the tire techs fumble with the tires like they had no idea what they were doing. Long story short, I took my truck down the road to a mom and pop shop that’s been in business for a while and they stripped the tires down so fast and mounted them back on the truck with ease. Mavis do everyone a favor and train your...
