Cook Out — Restaurant in Macon

After a very busy traveling weekend we went to cookout because it was close by. We have been here before and they have been decent but definitely not today. When placing the order the girl at the counter was very confusing about meals and clearly didn’t know the menu and differences between the plate and tray. My bf and I have gone to different cookouts before so we were familiar. She asked what I wanted on my burger and was rude in her explanation about how they add more ingredients to the regular burger when I only just started off my order with cheese. She was confusing the menu AGAIN when my bf was ordering his food not properly explaining and saying something different that was shown on the menu when he said exactly what he wanted and suggested different sides after he explained what he wanted. After that while debacle I was like whatever I’ll let it go we got our food and on the way home I got nothing I ordered on the burger just cheese and bacon, I ordered lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, mustard. I don’t mind a missing sauce but EVERYTHING? I didn’t even order bacon. My bf food just looked really sad. Cajun fries were barely Cajun as there was barely any seasoning and if you get chicken nuggets as a side it’s just three tiny pieces. Not going to that cookout again they need better service and training clearly. I don’t write reviews in general but after a long day from traveling and being hungry for some delicious food, getting bad service and food...

The portion size is pretty small, but it was still a filling meal for less than $10. It wasn't photo worthy though, so I don't have any photos to contribute.

You can put any toppings you want on your sandwich which I fully took advantage of.

The staff were very unprofessional. The gentleman who was waiting on line before we entered thanked us because he said he has been waiting so long to be attended to, that maybe since we arrived someone will finally help.

That staff clearly doesn't want to work. I don't want to say that this is the standard of this restaurant, maybe they just had a bad day, but considering it was only 9:30pm, and the restaurant closes at 3 am, they had no reason to be so reluctant to serve the customers.

They were disorganized, because we were a party of 3, each with our own orders.

I got my food before the gentleman who I mentioned earlier, something he noticed. Someone from my party didn't get her order at all, and I had to get up and ask. It was completely overlooked.

An elderly gentleman was trying to get someone's attention to ask for a specific drink type and everyone was ignoring him, so I asked for him. I felt bad, because he was such a nice man, and just wanted some tea.

I would go back to that restaurant chain, but definitely...

Don't ever go to this location they are so rude and management treat customers so nasty. I was charged for an item I didn't get. So being that lobby is closed I had wait In the long drive thru again. I clearly had two receipts and one was what I should've been charged which was the lesser total, and the other was what I was actually charged for. The guy manager argued me up and down that I wasn't charged when I had the receipt in my hand to show otherwise. Then my food wasn't fresh after waiting forever. All I wanted was my item that I was still clearly charged for. He was so nasty!. Don't you know he took food and drinks back through the window not knowing if I had Covid or anything. All because at this point I wanted a complete refund. He couldn't produce a receipt for what he was charging me for which the total still wasn't right. For the food I "ate" He closed the window in my face and didn't refund me anything. I called corporate immediately in drive thru and was told I'd receive coupons in the mail and that the district manager would contact me. We'll that was 3 weeks ago and I haven't received my refund, and they got all there food back, My coupons, or a call from the district manager! Don't waste your time or money at this...
