Fun little ice cream shop with lots of choices of ice and mixes and toppings. Located in North Macon towards the back of a small shopping center. The area is quiet and doesn’t get a lot of through traffic which is great if you have small kids that tend to roam.
Have visited here a couple times on a Sunday evening in October. I definitely believe there needs to be more than 1 person working in the store at a time. The sweet young person was definitely doing her best with a smile and positive attitude, but it was just way too much for her to control the register and make the ice cream. The store wasn’t crowded at that particular time, but if anyone came in with a family of 4 or more, it would definitely be a problem. Limited seating on the inside but outdoor benches and tables with umbrellas if the weather is nice. I had the mango ice with swirl ice cream and my friend had the orange ice with vanilla ice cream. We both agreed that the mango and orange flavor were a little off, kinda leaves a weird aftertaste. So I’m not sure what the artificial flavoring is, but it’s definitely not sugar-free as there are sugar free options on the menu.
Despite the somewhat-off taste of the ice and the store being understaffed, the establishment is very well kept, has great ice cream options (we will definitely be back but probably just for the ice cream – no ice), is affordable, and the customer service by the young people running the store is top-notch. Thank you, Jeremiah’s, for making Macon a more...
Read moreAs with any Jeremiah's, there's a great variety of flavors at a reasonable price. However, this location still has a few kinks to work out. The staff is personable but sometimes disorganized, which is fine considering how new the store is and the fact that the staff is comprised entirely of teenagers. The real issue is the texture of the italian ice. It isn't as smooth as other Jeremiah's I've been to, and there are sometimes medium-sized chunks of ice in it, as though it isn't being blended well enough. I'm glad we have a Jeremiah's in Macon now, but I'm hoping they look into fixing whatever's going on with the texture of the ice. I see I'm not the only review that's...
Read moreThe Italian ice at this location is not as smooth as it is in Warner Robins. Every Italian ice I've ordered here has been crumbly and filled with ice chunks. I've also gotten remnants of other flavors/mix-ins that I did not order, meaning the scoops are not being thoroughly rinsed before scooping. I never order mix-ins but my last two orders during the Grand Opening weekend have had a few...
