Margaritas Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Macon

My Son and I decided to eat at this restaurant for the first time ever and this was by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I’m actually very angry right now as I’m writing this but I’m trying to control myself. When you walk in the music is very loud, although the 90s alternative music is great it was extremely loud. No one said hi hello kiss my ass or anything they just looked at you and asked how many people. We were sat at a table and brought chips and salsa but no water was offered and no one offered to take our drink order. The salsa was spicier than what I’m used to having so my mouth was burning and I’m literally panting and fanning my mouth and finally the old man That works there or older man should I say that works there walks by and just looks at me and then comes back and says are you ready to order? I’m like yes, I would like an ice water please and so would My Son and then we proceeded to give the order I have just never been to a restaurant where they serve you chips and salsa and don’t bring you water or at least ask for your drink order. About 10 to 15 minutes later we get our food. The food was good, not great but it was good but the service was absolutely abysmal. But here’s the kicker, here’s what really really pissed me off. When it came time to pay the older man came up to the table and said you can pay me so My Son‘s getting out the money to pay him And he literally sticks his hand out to My Son and says what? No tip today? Excuse me? We weren’t done and you’re already sticking your fat grubby hand out at my table after crappy service and asking, well demanding a tip? This was our first time eating out at a restaurant in over three years because prices are so bad but we decided to treat ourselves today and this is what we get. Excuse me but you’re not legally entitled to a tip. It’s not a law either. Tips are to ensure prompt service or to ensure proper service and we got neither. We got rude Service. My Son left him two dollars and quite honestly I didn’t even want to leave that after you stick your grubby hand out and look at me and have the nerve to say what? No tip today? We weren’t even done My Son still had his wallet out. A lot of people don’t feel comfortable leaving a tip while you’re standing there, we usually leave it after you walk away from taking the money for the meal. I am just flabbergasted. I’ve never had this happen. I’ve never had a smart ass waiter or waitress who gave crappy service actually look at me and say something like that. The nerve. Maybe you should do better grandpa. As a matter of fact maybe you should just keep your butt up at the podium where you see people and just stick to that and let somebody else be a waiter or waitress because you are absolutely horrible at it. Absolutely horrible. No manners. Rude beyond compare. So we damn sure won’t come back. Honestly as much as I hate Publix next-door we should’ve just gone there and gotten a couple of subs to go. I don’t know what it is with making restaurants and retail operations but you’re all absolutely horrible. Horrible staff, horrible manners or should I say complete lack of manners, just absolutely horrible. I think I will just stick to going to the grocery store and buying my own stuff and cooking at home. At least I know I can get something to...

Wanted to grab a quick lunch after my serving shift with my step daughter. Walked in. No one at host stand. Two servers were eating at the booth closest to the entrance, took a few more bites of their food, and one walked over and sat us. As soon as we sat down she said "ready to order?". No name. Didn't ask for drink order. No "how are you?". Nothing. Obviously I'm not ready to order. We were the only table in the restaurant. She doesn't ask what we want to drink. I tell her water and cheese dip. She brings those back immediately. Cheese dip, chips and salsa were excellent. We ordered our food and the taco loco and chimichanga came out within 5 minutes. They were also great. Good portions, good taste. Our server never came back. My step daughter had to call the bartender over so we could ask for a manager. She informed us there's not a manager on duty until 5 said "your servers right there", rolled her eyes and walked away while calling for our server. Our server finally came back to the table, 20 minutes later. I told her I was a server and I understand being busy....but my drink was empty, she never asked how our food was or acknowledged us again after setting down our food. And then has the audacity to tell me when I told her that that she never checked on us and we felt neglected while she sat and ate her own food. She replied that "I've only dropped your food off a few minutes ago".....excuse me? That's so rude. You literally had one job. Refill drinks and ask if we needed anything. Sorry we came in at 3pm when you were dead and deciding to eat yourself but that's not our problem. Spent 28 of my hard earned dollars to be completely ignored and disrespected. So disappointed. We've been looking for a good Mexican restaurant and if the service had been existent at all we would have made this our new place and told all our friends. Food was great. But will not be back. Servers and bartenders were completely unprofessional. Had friends/kids/boyfriends they were chit chatting with right in front of the door so we had to say excuse me repeatedly to get by. Just utterly in shock how someone who lives off tips could be so darn rude to the people that are literally...

So I just left from there and it is the absolute worst place I have ever experienced in all of my years. I should've read the reviews before entering this dump. I ordered the house special it looked like slop and had giant tomato slices and lettuce and things I never seen on that plate, I didn't trust it so I asked for a manager the rude lady with black hair told me there was no manager or supervisor there which was another red flag, probably a lie. There's no way your serving alcohol with no management. She then told me I had to pay for my meal, didn't offer me a another meal even after seeing that I didn't eat it. She went as far as calling the law on me. I was not rude disrespectful I told her before she threatened me that I would leave her a tip due to she wasn't the cook I just wasn't paying for a plate that I didn't eat nor was comfortable looking at. She took my plate, demanded I pay for that mess and called me a free loader! She showed the officer a picture and said I ate all the food, I had to explain to me she took my plate without my premission to the back. I literally ate complimentary chips they bring you while waiting on your order due to me not having anything eatable. She seen that and still didn't offer me anything. I have an amazing career, always pay for anything I want or need this was about principle and quality service in which this place is lacking big time. My waitress is the lady in the silk blue top, I do want to say the sheriff was A1! He was so nice and understanding, confused that she went as far as she did and didn't offer something else or a new plate. If I could give a negative 1 I would. This place needs a whole new staff starting with the waitress and whomever prepared that plate! Someone needs to be mindful of what they are serving paying customers, this was my first time there, I was so hungry and a great tipper! I had to leave a review because this needs to be known and someone in that company will have to make some changes. It's definitely...
