Nu-Way Weiners — Restaurant in Macon

Every time I go through the drive-thru at the Nu-Way on Zebulon Road in Macon, I leave completely satisfied—no matter how long the line is. The ladies up front are always working hard, moving with a rhythm that keeps things efficient without ever sacrificing kindness. They greet you with genuine warmth, get your order right, and never make you feel rushed or overlooked.

The cook in the back deserves serious praise, too. The food is always hot, fresh, and prepared with care. Whether it’s a classic hot dog or something else on the menu, you can tell they take pride in what they’re doing.

Even on the busiest days, the whole team runs like a well-oiled machine. It's not just fast food—it's good food served by great people who clearly care about their work. This Nu-Way has definitely earned its spot in my regular routine.

Unfortunately after writing this review and inspecting my bag, my order was wrong. Ordered chili cheese hot dog and hamburger no onions, both the same and very clear instructions.

Received slaw dog and chili cheese burger with onions, I hate it because I want to give them praise for what they endure...

The lady at the window was very rude. I asked for a #2 hotdog combo all the way and a chili cheese dog. (I had witnesses in my car). When I got to the window she gave me the combo but my chili cheese dog was missing . I told her that I was missing a ccdog and then she said “I didn’t ring you up for that” then walked away. She came back to the window minutes later and said “I have a line can I help you with something” and I said yes I ordered a chilli cheese dog then she said “that’s not what you ordered” and walked away again. She was very rude and unapologetic for getting my order wrong. She didn’t try to fix my order at all. I would have paid for it… I did not press the issue, I drove away because she already had a bad attitude and I figured she would drop my hotdog on the floor or roll it in something dirty before giving it to me. I won’t be going back there again. And Oh yea, service was very slow and I don’t appreciate waiting patiently forever in a line then be treated like that. Not once did I have an attitude with her. And I didn’t get my receipt. This...

My rating would have been better but, for a first time experience the staff was completely rude. I told the girl working I wanted the same exact order that my grandmother in law had and it came out completely wrong. One of the ladies was trying to take our order with out even looking at us and being distracted doing other things. I believe that's why my order was so messed up. When I took my order back up to them they asked me what my order number was which we were not even given a receipt. We even asked for one before we walked away from the counter to which they just told us our order number was 00. When we went to sit down my 91 year old grandmother in laws food fell completely apart and she had the hardest time eating. Which she spoke so highly of this restaurant. We were very disappointed. Get it together girls and if I ever get back that way I would give it a second chance just because everyone...
