On a busy Sunday, November 5th my wife and I decided we wanted a nice brunch to cap out the weekend. Knowing church was letting out and we would have to wait for a table didn't bother us. We're patient and knew waking up late would have us paying with patience. We made it to the Arkwright location and walked into a busy Sunday rush that the staff was servicing to a professional standard, right on reputation for this location.
We took our spot in the chairs to await a table that had just vacated to be cleaned. The staff made it clear that we would be next to be seated at this table.
But two minutes later another couple sat down next to us to await as well. It's Sunday so as to be expected yet another couple followed in the door and made their way directly to the table just vacated for cleaning and attempted to sit there. While there is a colloquial "Customer is always right" focus to WH's service, the staff polietly made it clear to them that many have been waiting for a table and they would have to wait.
Thankfully the couple left without too much fuss. And the staff, especially a server named Tiffany (for whose service even inspired me to write this review) provided us with the understanding that they would ensure we were next for this spot.
From here Tiffany made it a point to ensure our food was to order and that no drink went empty at our our any table she passed with a wonderful smile. I can't thank Waffle House enough for having her among their staff.
I awoke Sunday expecting a long morning of awaiting brunch. Instead my wife and I were treated like guests in a family home. Made to feel welcome in a place not so far from...
Read moreKyla and Miss Sharon have been some of the most generous and kind people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Every time I come in there they are happy to see me completely happy to take care of me never in the least seem to be put out. The cook had my order ready in about 5 Seconds which was incredible and as soon as the plate arrived at my face I was awestruck by how quickly he is prepared it and when I don't know how well you knew my order. Obviously these people care very much about doing a good job. What is deeper than that they are just kind people that you have employed at your location. I do not know what the pay scale or how payment works at this restaurant but what I can say is that if you were to lose any one of these people it would be a great loss to your establishment and I say that as a restaurant manager. If they were employed in my staff they would be top earners. In the only negative point about this review is that I myself have waited over 2 years to put it out for public display. Please Waffle House upper management do whatever you can to keep these people. If you were to lose them I guarantee you you would lose this customer. And keep in mind that I am the only one that said something not the only one...
Read moreThis is one of the best Waffle House locations that I've ever visited! Everyone was friendly and accommodating if not just a little slow on the service and the refills initially. In addition, one of our two orders was just a little off. However, the restaurant was wonderfully clean and the cook came by personally to ensure that our order was correct. Our waitress also definitely picked up the speed of service to the point where at the end of the meal, we were offered several refills - even as we were obviously done and just sitting, finishing our conversation This is definitely something that I've never experienced at a Waffle House before! The bottom line is that this is a Waffle House and often you're not going to get the same service that you would at a 5 Star Restaurant that costs 5 times as much, requires advance reservations and a dress code. With that said, this is one of the better Waffle House locations that I've been to and I will...
