Wagers Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Macon

Came back for a dart tournament and ordered the grilled wings. They are huge. Some were burnt but I didn't care. For $14 to get 10 humungous wings is a good deal.

The servers were attentive and I didn't have to stand at the bar very long for a beer.

The floors look like new LVP since the last time I was here, but the bathroom is still the same nasty yellow and red that it's been for a long time.

Women like a comfortable, not unpretty space to pee. Get with it, Wagers. The two new stalls and a coat of paint could keep you in business with a lot more customers, because I assure you, as a chick, I will not continue to come to an establishment with a gross bathroom, and most men who want to bring their dates won't come here if we say naw.

Also I put money on the AMI Music jukebox only to find out they weren't using it. 🙄

FRAUD. Me and three friends visited this establishment sometimes in March 2021. We had few beers, I had given my credit card to keep the tab open. The bill came around $43. I gave the waitress $55 including tip Cash. The waitress still charged my credit card too. I called the restaurant, few days later when I saw the charge. I believed it was an honest mistake which could be rectified. I was told the manager comes at 1 pm and he will call back. He never called, after several tries I finally reached him. He said that he spoke to the owner only the owner can give refund on the card. Never called back again. After few days I called again the manager, this time he said the owner is not going to be here, why don't I drive 40 miles so that he can give me $42 cash. So I told him that I will dispute the charge with BOA card. Now they declined the dispute with BOA. Saw this place when searching for dinner near our hotel. Since it wasn't a chain and got good ratings we tried it. We were disappointed with the minimalistic bar atmosphere, but they had trivia night and people were enjoying it. As we read in other reviews, the food was EXCELLENT! I think it was the best steak sandwich I have ever had! Tender, juicy beef with perfectly sauteed sweet onions and the softest hoagy bun ever. I don't eat mushrooms and the kitchen and waitress had no problems serving them on the side for my husband (we split our meal). We were a bit surprised to see a patron smoking at the bar as it is outlawed almost everywhere else, but luckily it didn't ruin our meal.
