Horrible experience. When we arrived there was barely anyone there maybe a total of 4 other tables on the patio and a couple of people inside. We had 4 different people come take our order. We ordered five drinks it took over 40 minutes to get 3 of the drinks and they were supposed to be frozen but they were barely even a slushie. The other 2 came when we were getting ready to leave. We ordered 2 queso dips with no sausage add shrimp and steak and a steak quesadilla. When the food came out they brought us 2 small saucers with melted mozzarella, onions, peppers shrimp and steak. We told the waitress that it was supposed to be the the dip and she tried to make us keep it saying that’s what it was and we told her she could take it back because melted mozzarella over veggies is not a dip and she refused to take the plate so we had to take them and place them back on the serving tray she had sat down on another table. She then proceeded to hand us what was supposed to be a steak quesadilla but it didn’t look like a quesadilla and she told us it was chicken but we stated we ordered steak and then she said she believe it was a steak quesadilla and used her fingers to lift the side and then she was like oh it’s chicken. She then walked off and came back with the last server who took our order and she used a knife to check it then. We asked for a Manager and as we were explaining what happened, the same server then was like well we can just bring queso to put the other things in( I thought it was the queso😑 so she lied) and at this point it’s been over 2 hours and we still hadn’t received the last drinks so we said no. Then we proceeded to tell the manager how she touched the food with her bare hand and she started lying even the people at the table behind us saw her and when we said something that’s when she went and grabbed the other server and a knife to continue to check it, the manager threw his hands up and was like well y’all aren’t paying for it anyway and walked away. No wonder the other table was talking to the manager and complaining he also left with only a drink and no food. -10 out of 10 I highly do not recommend. I will say the drinks were watered down from it not really being frozen but they...
Read moreSaturday November 9, 2024 was my first time ever stepping foot in this restaurant in Macon, Ga. My sister wished to celebrate her birthday with us at this location because she had heard of it by word of mouth (my sister works at a dental office). Upon arrival we were instantly greeted by 4 amazing women who were polite, friendly and welcoming. They asked how many to prepare for dining and quickly seated us in an enclosed patio room which was decorated so beautifully. Our party of nine felt as though we were in a private area due to the spacious dining room. The walls are beautifully decorated with Hispanic art and cultural elements. The menu was designed simple but easy to use if you have ever dined at a Mexican restaurant before you see Combo meals, a la carte and then specialty entrees. Our waitress was Mary and she was the Princess of Wait Staff! She took our drink orders, supplied chips & salsa, and made sure to separate our orders by groups from the beginning. She asked our names and always referred to us by our names throughout our dining experience. The food came to our table rather quickly and was hot and seasoned to perfection. The manager, Dennie visited our table soon after to check and make sure our food, drinks and service was to everyone’s liking. PERFECT! The margaritas and tacos were my favorite but the Happy Plate was a very tasty item and when I return that’s what I plan to order. DELICIOUS! As we rapped up our evening the check out process went smoothly and quickly due to Mary’s excellent service and organization skills as a server. Pedro’s staff made us feel so special and loved with this experience at their Riverside Drive location. I will go back to attend more parties and events and hope that everyone will still be there to see and enjoy their company. Happy Birthday Sister! Keep up the great work Pedro’s Taco and Tequila Bar Macon - 5 STARS is what...
Read moreMy family and I (family of 3) went to Pedro’s on riverside and had one of the worst dining experiences to date. The host tried to seat us at a dirty table twice. Secondly, no one came to serve us for at least 15 minutes after being seated. Keep in mind, the restaurant wasn’t even full. When we finally got a server, she was incompetent. She was not familiar with menu items, she appeared to have forgotten to put our order in (or didn’t know how to put the order in), she brought us Dr. pepper that was so clear you could see through it. We order an appetizer of queso which came out cold. I ordered quesadillas and what I got was some dry chicken in a tortilla that wasn’t even toasted, with a little bit of cheese, was folded over NOT grilled. My daughter ordered beef tacos with just lettuce and what they served us looked like dog food. When she picked up the first taco to bite it, all the contents fell out of the shell and didn’t even leave taco seasoning residue on the tortillas. The hostess that seated us saw our expression and her first question was if we wanted to speak to a manager. When the manager came to our table and we tried to explain to him what was wrong with our order, he immediately grabbed a menu to show us what we ordered. The waitress, knowing that we were not satisfied, told him what happened. He then told us that he was confused because he thought we got what we ordered as if we had forgotten what we ordered. To keep from making a scene we politely asked for check which was $66.11 for 3 street tacos, a quesadilla a la carte, chicken and steak fajitas, and queso appetizer. We also ordered extra tortillas for the fajitas which we never got but it was on our receipt. To add insult to injury, there were several other patron that came in well after we did and were served long before we were. It’s safe to my family and won’t patronize this...
