Your Pie Pizza — Restaurant in Macon

Good pizza. We both enjoyed it. I would have given it 4 starts but it is VERY LOUD in the restaurant. There is nothing there to absorb any sound. There were 3 guys hanging out at the bar watching football. They were not being overly loud but add in the music from the restaurant and we couldn't hear each other. My husband could not hear the employee who was making his pizza. He has a little bit of a hard time hearing and when you add masks, loud patrons, and background music, he could hear nothing. We sat through dinner pretty much not talking because he couldn't hear me. Enough about the volume....on to the food. We both had pizza "combo's." Pizza topping are unlimited. Get it the way you like it and we both did. Toppings were great. They tend to end up in the center and the outside ring is pretty empty. My toppings were great. I tend to lean toward the veggies and fancy toppings. He leans towards the meats and the classics. He had marinara sauce and I had Alfredo. The sauces were tasty. The crust just seems to be a vehicle for the toppings and and sauce. There wasn't much to taste. We both had Caesar salads. They are pre-made and ready to go by the register. You pick your dressing up at the same place. I wish I would have paid more attention. My salad had some dark brown lettuce. It was like what you find at the bottom of the stalk. No big deal but it should have been thrown away by an employee, not a customer. The dressing was tasty and we both enjoyed it. Drinks are self serve. We did not have dessert. The ladies bathroom was clean. Maybe it is a sign of the times, but not one employee said anything to us besides taking out order. We were at the restaurant about 7 pm on a Friday night. 50/50. Some staff were great, some...... It was clean and quick so that was a plus. However, for the Gelato for the kids meals was a sauce cup.... a sauce cup. I've eaten at probably 13 different Your Pies (I'm addicted I know), this was the only one I've seen do this, and the staff got offended when I told them (not with an attitude mind you) that that was not ok, and no other Your Pie did this. Now two of the sauce cups that were given looked used like they previously had parmasean or something else in it. The kid I originally talked to about the size of the cups saw me coming to the register to change out the dirty ones and walked away. He pretended he was busy and started talking to his friends there. Would look at me then turn away. I finally got my cups exchanged. Then after waiting to get Gelato I asked another employee about the size, he said that's what they did there and the scoops were the same size that would go into both size of cups. Ummmm there is no way same size scoops fit in both smh. Guys this needs to be fixed. Again some staff were great others not. Kids Gelato is supposed to be one scoop in the big cup. Left with some disappointed...

Today, I ordered a pizza for pick-up from this establishment. I arrived at the exact time my pizza was supposed to be ready; however, I didn’t receive my pizza until another 10 to 15 minutes later. I will admit that when I arrived, I wasn’t sure where I needed to go, as this was my first time there. As such, I asked a group of the staff where I should go for pick-up. They directed me to the cash register, which is where I went. However, I then spent 10 minutes being ignored by the entire staff as they walked around, talked, and laughed, despite some of the staff knowing about my initial request for help. While I understand they may have been busy, no one even approached me to inform me that they would assist me shortly. The whole experience rubbed me the wrong way, and if I hadn’t already ordered and paid for the pizza online, I would have walked out. As for the pizza, I believe it was decent. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but if I were in the area again, I would probably go there. As for the atmosphere, it was pleasant and inviting. I just wish the staff were as well. Overall, I cannot recommend this place due to the subpar...
