Diciccos Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Madera

This is, without doubt, the worst "Italian" restaurant in Madera...but i think in the whole U.S. Last saturday i visit this place with my wife just because Vineyard (a restaurant right in front of Di Cicco's) was closed. First nasty thing that i noticed was the forks and the knifes. Both dirty with dried food stuck on it, i ask to change them and the new one was dirty again but without food so i clean by myself the forks and the knifes with the napkin. Then...paper napkins...seriously? A serious restaurant won't offer cheap paper napkins like mc donalds. However we go ahead and order as appetizer mozzarella sticks and bruschetta. The mozzarella sticks of course are frozen but arrive cold on table, the bruschetta was fine. Then i order a steak and shrimp plate and my wife the cannelloni with meat, well i receive the meat and the shrimp sautee with SPAGHETTI TOPPED WITH TOMATO SAUCE AND ZUCCHINI...what the hell, the menu did not mention that the plate have pasta and zucchini. I order the meat and shrimp cause i don't want eat pasta, however cause i have it i try it and the pasta was nasty because was without salt and over cooked that looks like plastic spaghetti when the sauce taste like lemon (i think a genius in the kitchen just put lemon juice on all around the plate and not only on shrimps). The cannelloni was nasty too, unsalty, over cooked like the pasta, inside was filled with a little bit of chees and spinach, topped with marinara sauce when the menu show MEAT FILLED CANNELLONI WITH CHEESE and TOMATO SAUCE. When my wife ask why the menu show meat and no spinach in the cannelloni, the girl answer that is a meat puree and that even if the menu don't show the spinach, they are part of the filling. So i start to feel pissed off and ask to replace my wife plate with another one and my wife choose O SOLE MIO...another big mistake. This plate arrive with over cooked pasta that taste like nothing, raw nasty mushroom and ultra dry chicken that would make a whale choke too. This plate is supposed to have as topping red sauce too but guess...just lots of oil and a little bit of sauce...of course all UNSALTED. This restaurant has nothing Italian, they don't know how to cook italian food and what they serve is just NASTY FOOD. The easiest thing to do on the earth are spaghetti with tomato sauce and this people ruin that too. Then...why they suppose that the pasta should be present everywhere, even with the steak and shrimp that i order? To justify the price of the plate? I pay 20 bucks for that steak and shrimp and i expect something different and not what they serve to me...if i knew that the steak came with pasta and zucchini i would not order it. I'm a real Italian (not american-italian), grown in Italy for 30 years and knows well the Italian cuisine and Di Cicco's just offends me and my whole country. Whoever gives to this restaurant 2 or more stars is because they have never gone to Italy or eat in a real Italian restaurant in California. This place is better if change it name to something else but please stop offend Italy in this way with those nasty and overpriced plates. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT AND GO SOMEWERE ELSE. In Fresno you can find better Italian restaurants with ITALIAN OWNERS that serve you way better food...

How does this place even stay in business? Absolutely some of the worst customer service skills I have ever seen. Zero ability to be friendly, take an order correctly and actually speak coherent enough to repeat the order making sure everything is correct. Tonight was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Never again will I do business with them. Placed an order at 4.13pm with a very rude individual, was told thirty minute delivery, I know better than that so I patiently waited, one hour passed still no food, I called and was told it should arrive shortly,,, another hour passed and I called again, spoke to three different people trying to find out about my food,,,, only to be told that the order had never been processed. Two hours of waiting for food that was never going to actually show up. This is beyond unacceptable and unprofessional. The owner's should take more pride in who they hire, every employee is a representative of the business and apparently they set their standards very low. Gina was extremely apologetic and I appreciate that but the other two girls I don't have names for that I spoke to absolutely need to be fired for lying to me and causing me to wait two hours for dinner that was never going to show up. My business deserves better treatment and they have lost all respect due to way to many chances. Shame on the individuals there who take zero pride in treating each and every customer with respect and dignity, it is the customer that keeps places like this in business. Lucky for the incompetent girls who totally lack any class that I don't have their names. I believe they need to be shamed and taught how to properly deal with the public. I DONT RECCOMEND EATING HERE. I visited this place last night (3/7/19) with the guy that I've been dating for 3 years, he is 48 I'm 26 so we always get a lot of stares in public but it doesn't usually bother me. Our server seemed a little rude from the moment we arrived, like maybe she was ready to go home or was having a bad day. We were seated and she took our drink order, I asked for straws and when I held out my hand to receive them she tossed the straws down on the table, smiled and walked away. She seemed annoyed by our questions about the menu as well, like she was in a rush when there were only 2 more parties, maybe 8 people other than us who already recieved their food. Time passes and as we are waiting for our food, I overheard our server say "Of course, and that's his little mistresse", I immediately looked up and sure enough her and another co worker were looking at our table smiling and talking to each other. I felt soooooo uncomfortable the entire time after this. I wanted to confront her but I didn't want to embarrass my date. We got our food which was so bland and plain its ridiculous, I ordered the steak and shrimp combo, it was edible but for the price I was expecting something different I guess. The best part of the meal was for sure the bread which was soft. Fast forward, I got home around midnight, woke up this morning around 2am with the uncontrollable urge to use the bathroom and intense stomach cramps followed by sweating. The only time I ever felt this way before is when I drank a weight loss tea which contained laxatives. I woke up again around 7am today with the same feeling of having to use the bathroom. I will never go there again, hands down one of my worst dining...
