Hong Kong Restaurant — Restaurant in Madera

I came here some weeks ago and the food was delicious and you get a good portion. The cooks are amazing. But the younger lady in the front who took my order was super rude. That wasn’t the worst part, the reason I am giving such low rating is because I noticed she dropped my egg rolls on the counter and then picked them up barehanded and put them back on my plate… she had also handled money right before that and didn’t wash her hands. So unsanitary and really rude. I asked her for new egg rolls and she asked why. I told her that I saw them fall and she said that they didn’t that she saved them on time. I didn’t eat them. Obviously not first time she does this. She also gave me my soda with more ice than soda even when I asked for light ice. I didn’t want to make a fuss as it seems this is how she typically runs things. I also saw her being very rude to the other waitress that was there by criticizing her and snapping at her. Disappointing. The portion of rice they gave was huge, but the chicken was spread so thinly over it that it gave the illusion of a lot of chicken, when there were only a few pieces. I also ordered spare ribs for my mom, but they were cut into little squares, making it look like more than it was (probably only two or three ribs). To top it off, they served tea in paper cups, as if it came from a tea bag, which is just not what you expect on a cold night. we were expecting a tea pot that we can pour nice hot tea into our tea cups. Myself and a friend went to eat at Hong Kong Restaurant for the second time and we did have a little wait but it was well worth the wait. The food was fantastic the taste of the food was the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. The owner was the one cooking and his wife came to our table to greet us she remembered us from the last time we went there two weeks ago. She was very kind and sweet she has a wonderful personality. The Restaurant was very clean and the waitress was very busy and she was very good also. If you want to eat the best Chinese food in town go to Hong Kong Restaurant I highly recommend this Restaurant for the best...
