Kebab Grill — Restaurant in Madera

I almost never give bad reviews, let alone one star. But this place doesn't even deserve one star. Their customer service is the worst in town. The food here is okay sometimes and other times its awful...the meat can be very dry and the salad dressing is way too tart. The worst thing about this restaurant is that the owners/managers don't care about you. If you order something and it tastes bitter or different than it usually tastes, they will apologize and tell you they'll give you a ten percent off discount for your next visit, but you still have to eat it this time or pay for something else. And if they leave off your extra dressing or hummus that you paid for, you can forget about that too. I called after getting an order through takeout, in which they left out all the extras I paid for, and they said they were closing so they would make it up to us next time. However, I told them next time (3 weeks later) and they blamed it on an old employee and said they didn't offer discounts anymore. I said I paid for things I didn't get and they said, "we'll try to do better next time." I know many others with similar stories, unfortunately. My advice if you eat here is, check your takeout order before you leave, don't go anywhere near closing time (the food is inedible then), and do not believe them when they say they'll make it up to you next time. 7/17/23 at 702pm approx Patricia refused to serve us because they have a no pet policy. I have service animal and he has his service harness on. They required us to sit on the patio if we were to eat there. I explained he is a service animal and that was against the ADA regulations and asked for her manager. She stated he wasnt there and told me she is just following the rules that people may be allergic to pets. I asked her to call her manager which she did. She spoke to him in the kitchen for a couple of minutes then handed me the phone. Marcel is the owner or manager and i explained to him that we had a service animal and i had explained to Patricia he was trained and in a marked service harness. Marcel told me they have a strict no pet policy at which i reiterated he is a service animal and that rule is not applicable for service animals and we are not required to sit on the patio either according to the ADA and asked him to look up the rules with the website i could direct him to. He stated they have the right to refuse service to anyone and they would not allow my "pet" in the restaurant. I told him i would be reporting this to the ADA and he told me to go ahead. I have reported this issue and am waiting for a response. I have eaten inside on a number of occasions and very much enjoy the food but this was...

I’ll start by saying the food is good, we drive about an hour to come get food here as it’s the closest Mediterranean style food to us. That being said we won’t be doing it anymore! Last time we came, we ordered fries on the side, and the lady gave us rice… easy to misinterpret over the speaker so no big deal, she didn’t want to refund the difference so asked if we wanted juju sauce and the price would even out. So we said sure no problem… until we drove away and we didn’t get the sauce either.

Then today we make the drive, get there over an hour before they close. Open sign is lit up, no one answers on the speaker, so we try calling, goes to voicemail full, so we pull up to the window that’s cracked open, the lady then comes over and says they’re closed. They have nothing left to make? How do they plan on operating going into the weekend?

Super disappointed!
