Pita House — Restaurant in Madera

Called today (08/09/2025 @2pm) to place an order and the lady who answered sounded rude from the start and in a rush to hang up. This is weird and not common from this place since usually the guy taking my orders has always been super sweet. When I ordered my usual, a chicken greek salad half chicken half steak she said, “we can’t do that.” I said, I have ordered it and they’ve never said anything. She again told me, “ahhh, no we can’t do that.” I said okay, thank you nevermind on that. She then asked if I was going to order and I said no thank you. I’ve always been 100% okay to pay whatever difference it makes. That has never been an issue.

Newly opened restaurant. I never had Mediterranean food before. This was my first time and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Lamb wrap, wrapped in fresh house made pita. It is stuffed with grilled onions, grilled red and green bell peppers, lettuce and tomato. Very delicious the lamb was cooked to perfection, very juicy and tender. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Plate which comes with a rice pilaf and a side salad, and a side of pita bread. Chicken was cooked perfectly, so juicy. I also traveled over here from Oregon. I was on a road trip and I decided to stop by. Like I said I was not dissapointed. I always appreciate a local, and newly opened food business. Unfortunately I post my first review at the wrong spot but this is definitely the place I would like to brag about pita house I’ll attach my original post as well but they go above and beyond. Quality food and people! I ordered pick up a few weeks ago during lunch rush hour. Unfortunately my meal wasn’t ready and because I had been on my lunch from work I had to leave without my gyro. I’ve worked customer service my entire life I completely understand things happen especially in the restaurant world. I ordered the next day this time delivery my food was amazing and included was really sweet note with an apology and offer to cover my next meal! Great customer service and food!
