Delaney's Diner — Restaurant in Madison Township

Mediocre food and subpar service. I ordered from here for the first time today. Chicken tenders, sweet potato fries, and a side salad. I ordered on the website, which was pretty user friendly, and it said my food would be ready in 30 minutes. When I showed up I didn’t see a spot for pick up orders so I jumped in the check in line. There was only one couple ahead of me in the check in line. They were signed in and then the hostess/waitress left the desk. I waited, waited, waited for someone to come back. After about 10-15 minutes someone finally came back and I told them I just wanted to pick up. She took my payment then left the desk, so I stood off to the side for the next customer to be helped. A few minutes later, a different waitress/hostess came back with a bag, placed it on the desk opposite where I was standing, and started helping the next customer in line. She didn’t announce a name or that a pick up order was ready at all. So I jumped in after she helped the next customer and asked her was the food mine. After verifying my name she said “yeah it’s yours” and walked off. Ummm ok. Thanks for letting me know. So I grabbed my food and immediately noticed how light the bag felt. After checking, I didn’t have my side salad and had to wave down another waitress/hostess to request one. All in all, it took 25 minutes to pick up a to-go order. This place is awful as can be. The coffee was so strong that you could not drink it. It taste like they filled the filter to the very top with coffee before they made it. The fish fillets was gross and they were tiny. They taste like fish out of the freezer section at Kroger's. The Cinnamon roll was gross. It had some horrible tasting icing on it and the bottom of it was so hard that you could not eat it. The fried potatoes came in a bowl and was not even half full. The proportions Ave very small. Same issue with the chicken tenders. They are small and taste like something out of the freezer at Kroger's. The coleslaw was even horrible. The hash browns was completely burnt. The sausage in the biscuits and gravy was disgusting. This was our first time comeing here to the groveport location and we had a absolute bad experience. We will not be back. Do not waste your time or your money coming here with a group of people it is totally not worth it and it's way overpriced. We even had an issue finding a parking spot..... And well looky here the owner just responded to this review..... Look how unprofessional he is because he got a bad review. I came here on September 27 of 2025. I observed a whole lot of people waiting even though there were five or six tables totally clean and cleared and ready to go. The hostess came out and asked me how many and I said one and she said well you have to wait and I said, even though there are several tables clean and cleared and ready to go she said yes and I said what about at the bar she said you have to wait for that too. There was some sort of explanation hastily offered but she talked so fast and I couldn’t pick it up, much less hear with the surrounding noise. I told her forget it and she said OK offered no apology. Demeanor was rude. When I called, the hostess whom I first encountered answered the phone. She said “I told you there was no silverware and we have to wait until we have silverware before seating people”. Again, rude demeanor. I asked for the manager. She started to protest but finally gave me to the manager when I insisted. Manager said there was no silverware due to a group of 30 and a group of 11 coming in.
