Bagel Nosh — Restaurant in Madison

Everyone has their favorite freshly made bagel; but, for those unaware of Bagel Nosh, located in Staples/Madison Plaza, let me just say…WOW!!

The BEST bagels around, period.

Don’t take my word for it…Take your cue from the consistent daily customer lineup, all morning every morning. When you push out fresh out-of-the-oven warm/steamy light/airy bagels, with an array of classic and cool/fun flavors, a wide selection of freshly prepared cream cheese and salad spreads, bespoke/ made-to-order breakfast sandwiches (huge!)…and then add in always-friendly, neighborly service and accessible/plentiful parking…it’s easy to see why folks come back daily.

Founder Joe (Joey to his many Chatham/Madison customer friends) and Owner Hadie have built a top notch full service eat in/outside-takeout bagel shop off Main Street Madison.

The day-to-day is managed steadfastly by Hadie, in his easy-going-yet attentive neighborly way; with Lucy and her ever-present warm/pleasant smile at the front counter.

The bagels are always fresh, and just-out-of-the-oven warm during AM and early afternoon hours. There’s the full range of flavors—‘Everything’ seems to the often asked for fan favorite (personal observation only)…personally, I love their Black Russian (pumpernickel w/sesame and raisins) and their Whole Wheat is the best (just something in there I can’t place); my son’s go-to is their Egg Everything bagel.

More so, Bagel Nosh’s cream cheese spreads are amazing—Scallion, Cucumber/Dill and Walnut Raisin are this family’s favorites—and their scratch chicken/tuna/egg salads are truly amongst the best you’ll have ever dined on (with few exceptions, I generally don’t go for egg salad…at B-N, I’ll get a small container to go on its own).

To circle back, its the very tasty, warm/fresh bagels AND the attentive/friendly service…this is why you must stop by Bagel Nosh, if haven’t already been…and, oh yes, the easy-access parking is a decidedly...

I walked in on my lunch brake to get an online order. The guy at the counter tells me I don't have an order here. I show him my order, turns out I, ordered from the wrong place by accident. The guy says to me, "did you pay?" I said, "yes", he says, "no problem, ill make it for you no charge" I was at a lost for words, unfortunately they did not have an ingredient for one one of orders I placed with the other bagel shop. I express some frustration because the order missing the ingredient was a friends order and I did not want to modify his meal, so I kindly declined his generosity and told him I would walk to the other place to get the original order. He then looks at me and says, " No problem, Ill take you to get your food" next thing I know we have my food and since I worked rite down the road, he took me back to work. This was above and beyond the call of duty, I will forever be a customer...

Tried this place for the first time today since temporarily moving back to Madison 🤯🤯🤯

Let me preface this by saying that, since we moved back 3 weeks ago, I’d been patronizing a different bagel shop purely out of familiarity. I used to go there 20 years ago as a kid, so I went back to what I knew. Subpar bagels + super unfriendly/rude staff = me googling alternative options. That’s how I happened upon Bagel Nosh.

Chocolate chip pancakes were so insanely fluffy, moist, perfect?? I ordered them for my daughter and we fought over them 😂 So insanely delicious, we were beyond impressed! The bagels, I swear they tasted like we bought them straight from Brooklyn, they were the epitome of bagel perfection. The best part, and the thing you never see at a bagel shop - exceptionally friendly staff? Like what?! Blown away! We are so appreciative and happy to find our new “go to” bagel spot! Highly...
