Went here on Xmas day after work around 6:15pm ordered for pick up at 5pm( WAITED 1 HOUR IN STORE). When I got there, it was pure pandemonium!! The line was literally out the door!! Like, don't ppl know how to cook around here, Lol. The restaurant is very small, and the phones were ringing off the hook. I'm not going to blame them for lack of service this day only because it was a holiday, and I'm going to assume they're probably not this busy on a regular day. 1 Lady in particular, a larger asian lady with glasses held the front end down for all of the takeout orders while the 2 teens just stood around and watched her struggle(they did bare minimum). WORD OF ADVICE to the restaurant.. If it ever gets that busy, have some runners take the take-out orders to the front and double check them b4 the order is given.
I will say they are RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Literally soup dumplings (they serve pork only) and general tso chicken that comes with white rice ONLY cost $33.54 w/tax!! Normally, I'd pay $18 or $20 for those items for the same quality and larger portion somewhere else but they were closed.
Tried to order fried rice instead of the white, and they said I'd have to pay extra for it as if it were a side. So I would get the white rice and fried rice together, so I left the order as is because it makes no sense paying more for that.. . The portion size was small and half EMPTY! The taste of the food was mediocre, the general chicken I can tell maybe if it was fresh out the pot it would be a bit crispy but since I waited an hour in store for my takeout it wasn't.
In the end, I definitely won't be back because it's too expensive for the quality they're dishing out and the...
Read moreI enjoyed a business lunch with an associate this week at your establishment. We were promptly greeted and seated upon arrival. Our server efficiently provided water, tea, and menus, along with complimentary wonton chips and dipping sauce. While reviewing the menu, we enjoyed the chips and tea. I selected the lunch special featuring chicken with string beans, fried egg onion rice, and wonton soup. My associate ordered Kung Pao chicken with fried egg onion rice and an egg roll. We both found the food and tea excellent. However, we felt pressured to conclude our meal after our server quickly boxed my leftovers and removed the uneaten wonton chips without offering to package them for takeout. This created a sense of urgency that detracted from the overall experience. I recommend that staff be mindful of pacing and allow diners ample time to enjoy their meals. I particularly enjoyed the wonton chips and would have appreciated the option to take them home. The extensive menu and delicious tea were highlights of our visit, especially given the cold weather..
My partner and I previously ordered out at this establishment, enjoying the soy garlic broccoli with white rice and sweet and sour chicken.
The sweet and sour chicken exhibited a rich, well-balanced flavor profile, with the pineapple and onion pieces complementing the chicken and rice exceptionally well, particularly when paired with the soy garlic chicken.
The wonton egg drop soup and wonton soup were both well-executed, offering a balanced flavor profile and appropriate portion sizes for...
Read moreOrder called @ 5:57 pm. We were told delivery was 60 mins but could pickup food in 20-25 minutes…. We arrived approx 40 minutes later. There were people waiting. As we waited for while, we asked the people leaving; when did they order food. 3 people placed order 20 minutes after us yet they were getting their food we’ll before us. I watched as more & more people received their orders. I asked again, could someone check on our order. Eventually they came out with our order. Only 75 minutes later.
Guess what; you can keep this place. I could have learned how to read/write/speak Chinese in the same amount of time we waited for our order.
Funny, the Food is actually really good. Not sure why, our order was problem. I noticed the receipt had several names on it… Who knows, maybe they had tech problems or something.
I don’t mind if a business runs into problems. We all have those days. My problem; the host & manager asked me about our order. They were supposedly trying to help us. They would ask us but kept giving food orders to everyone else. It was insulting.
Manager apologized & offered us 10% discount. I told her, I believe we already paid so not sure how we would get 10% discount. I finally was given bag & left.
I think we are done w/ “Dao for Now!”
Hopefully everyone else gets great food &...
