Cappadocia Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Madison

I stumbled across this gem while having a craving for some middle eastern food. I saw the 5-star rating and knew that's where I had to go. But I had difficulty finding this restaurant. Be aware...it is INSIDE the Fresh Mart (which is also a grocery store that you should check out). You may serve yourself in to-go containers at $10.99/lb or order off the menu for eat-in or carryout. Be further aware that you pay for the food at the grocery checkout and I was rung up at $46. The cashier was going with the $10.00/lb rate when it was a menu item (Chicken Masala with rice) that I had ordered and was only $9.99. One positive about this is that you know you're getting a lot of food as evidence by the $46 price.

I got that matter straightened out after a bit of explanation to the cashier, but it's definitely something you should keep an eye on and be aware of if serving yourself or ordering off the menu.

The kind lady serving me was terrific and the food was very good. I'll certainly be back to try other items. One disappointing thing. . .while the masala was excellent, I feel there wasn't enough sauce. A ton of rice with not nearly enough of the masala to enjoy with it. I'd like to see that improve. (I'll take less rice and more masala.)

Everything you get here you can taste the care and quality that goes into it, you can’t be afraid to step out and try something different when it all tastes amazing. Great friendly family run truck as well can’t wait to come back and grab more amazing food from these guys! Truly one of if not the best places for Turkish style Mediterranean cuisine...
