O.E.C. Japanese Express — Restaurant in Madison

We ordered 2 steak hibachi plates and 2 tornado rolls to go. Paid well over $50 bucks. We opened the hibachi plates and the rice and scrambled egg pieces (I'm assuming they were eggs) looked like it was cooked several hours earlier!! Some of the rice was hard and dried out, some of it had a sticky and gummy texture. The egg pieces were all dried out and hard. The steak looked like some fake imitation meat that had an awful flavor!! We attempted to eat it on the way home... One small bite and we both gagged. Taking the food back was not an option because we were on the way home which is an hour and a half from there.. we work in the area, we just don't live there... so then we open the tornado rolls... again, disgusting! This food had obviously been prepared hours earlier. Needless to say, money down the drain for nothing!! The ONLY thing that tasted ok was the pink sauce. It's one thing to prepare food for rush times, but it's a whole other level when serving meat and seafood like that!...

Worst hibachi takeout I ever tasted, sushi ok. I ordered the lunch steak. It came with chewy meat in teriyaki sauce, steamed carrots, and "fried rice" with a little egg and soy sauce in it. The rice had no flavor, although the pink sauce was tasty.

My dad ordered the steak and scallops. He received the same rice, beef, and carrots, but had broccoli in his. He had to search for the scallops, and he only got 4 thin slices totaling 2 oz.

I did, however, enjoy the Dancing Eel roll. It has tempura shrimp, with cream cheese, avocado, and eel on top. Yummy for $ 8.95. Overall for a $28 lunch for 2 people, I was very disappointed. This will be my first and last time to order take...

Very dirty, expensive and rude. Made an order of small rice. Paid $10. when I asked if this was correct for me to get such a small amount of rice for $10 the lady went crazy, speaking her language and English yelling at me pointing at the menu, jumping up and down. Ceilings had what to look to be mold water spots everywhere. The ground was very sticky and dirty. Nothing looked clean. Drink machine was dusty and kind of stinky. For such expensive hard stale rice you would think they would be able to afford for...
