Ricardo's Kouzzina — Restaurant in Madison

This place was fantastic! We knew it would be good, but it truly exceeded our expectations. We were meeting family for dinner and we arrived early, so we waited at the bar. The bartenders were immediately accommodating and so nice. One minor criticism is that the red wine menu is not fabulous. I opted for a bottle because the selection by-the-bottle was better than the by-the-glass offerings. The bartender was so nice and offered to take the bottle to my table, and said they'd be happy bag the bottle once we were done so I could take it home.

We had the baked feta and calamari appetizers, which were both incredible. The jam/sauce with the calamari was the conversation topic for sure! It had lime and orange peel in it...I seriously wish I could have bought a jar of it!

My MIL and I each had the baramundi, which was absolutely perfect, husband had the Shrimp Santorini, which he raved about, and brother had Chicken Parm. All entrees were great.

We had Creme Brule Cheesecake and Khalua Chocolate Cake for dessert...so, so good. The chocolate was super rich, so I preferred the cheesecake.

Service was impeccable. We really loved our experience here and honestly felt like it's a bit underpriced for the portion size and quality. Definitely go for dinner if you have the chance! We will...

Great food. Our server was not all that attentive but the support staff made sure we were taken care of. Team effort. My date and I had the shrimp and grits and the salmon on rice. Delicious. The prices are not outrageous either. Two mixed drinks, two apps and two entrees and the tab was right at $100 before tip. Considering a trip for two at Waffle house is 40 bucks these days I felt $100 was more than fair. To the immediate owner response...the server was not all that bad. We were a table of four and we seemed to be left alone while drinks were empty and dishes stacking up on a small table. Mind you, being asked every five minutes is annoying but being left alone is equally annoying. There's a balance and it's subject to interpretation. Like I said, the support staff got it handled. You have a beautiful restaurant with great food. Your engagement on Google reviews says a lot about how you take pride in your business. 4.7 stars is because of you and your product. I literally told everyone I know about how good your product is and coincidentally a friend of mine recommended your establishment and we were all there...

Absolutely Amazing Dining Experience! WOW! Ricardo and his awesome crew made our meal beyond fantastic! Happy to find Ricardos online as we were looking for a spot to eat in Madison with our sons. Hundreds of super reviews made our decision easy and they were all so true! The restaurant is located in a beautiful old building that has been restored to a gorgeous warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was top notch and every single staff member was happy and enthusiastic. Our table loved all of our food from start to finish, Calamari, Redfish, Salmon, Ravioli and Lasagna was all fabulous. Oh! The desserts were incredible too! We had flan, chocolate flourless torte, salted caramel cake and key lime pie! The icing on the cake though was the next day when Ricardo so kindly offered to mail my hubby's pullover we had left behind! Thank you so much Ricardo!
