I was a little suspicious that I'd enjoy this more than other local ice cream spots (ice cream is hard to beat), but the Ice Factory is different from ice cream in a delicious way! The fruit flavors are the best ones - try the sour peaches and cream, or a combo of mango and coconut. It's always nice to have another local place in the rotation for enjoying a refreshing frozen treat on hot summer days.
The only downside is the location - there are no tables or benches and the parking lot is not that nice. Winter's Park is not too far, but it would be nice to be able to sit down and hang out...
Read moreCoffee flavor was very weirdly stale and chemical like tasting. I don't know which cough syrup, but yes, like that. Pistachio ice creams usually have that chemical smell too. I guess they use artificial flavors and make it taste like chemicals. I mentioned this and requested them to trash it. No apologies or replacement offered. Still bought another flavor which was good. Wish they offer tasting. But customer care service is usually not a forte of local shops...

It's sandwiched in between two autobody shops that look like junkyard on Rt 202 in Mahwah by the Suffern junction. Don't let that stop you! For $2.50 you can get a nice sized cup of fresh lemon zest pureed ice! The lemon, pink lemonade and the watermelon were all super! Definitely going back before lines...
