If you are in Northern Bergen, Orange or Rockland County be sure to visit Rainbow ACE Hardware (a Benjamin Moore Paint Retailer), for your home improvement and business needs. Conveniently located in the village of Suffern, NY, Rainbow Ace Hardware is a proud family owned business and they are very hands on with ensuring you always find everything you need. In the rare case they don’t have it in store at the moment, they will help you find it or happy to order it for you. They go above and beyond to help out every customer which is one of the many reasons why I always prefer to shop local. In my experience walking into a Home Depot or Lowes, sometimes you have to walk around for what feels like forever, just to find an employee to ask a question. That is not the case with ACE, their customer service is excellent.
Now onto products - if you haven't been before, they are way more than just a hardware store. Beyond their impressive paint studio, hardware, electrical, and plumbing departments, Rainbow Ace Hardware carries health and beauty care, grocery items, household goods, cleaning supplies, pet food and supplies, and paper goods. They also have a variety of housewares, bedding, bath, storage/organization, appliances and even an entire department of TOYS for the kids. They are a one stop shop while I am running errands and even a great place to shop for gifts. Don't forget to check out their seasonal items for winter maintenance, lawn and garden, school supplies, greeting cards and decorative items for each holiday of the year. Once you see how much they have to offer, you will definitely be back! #ShopLocal...
Read moreAce Hardware stays true to their slogan "the helpful place". They were amazing.
I had just bought a truck at a nearby dealership and it was missing a few bolts. I was 1 day out from moving across the country and needed these bolts. Despite the urgency, the dealership was unwilling/unable to identify the dimensions of the bolts. So we hauled over to the Ace Hardware.
We walked in and Saun immediately pointed us over to Clay. I showed Clay the bolt I needed and he walked us around the store with the speed of lightning, the professionalism of the secret service, and the knowledge of someone who has a PhD in bolts. We got a handful of different bolts and tried them out. By process of elimination, we had narrowed the correct dimensions but the store was closing in 5 minutes and we still had to get the correct length and buy all 12.
We ran back in. Saun noticed our urgency and grabbed the bolts that we described and came out to the truck with us to make sure they installed correctly. He was even out there helping test. Once we found the right bolt, he went back in to help save us time and got the correct number of each bolt we needed. They kept the store open slightly later and everyone was still helpful, polite, and seemed like they really only cared that it was finally solved.
We installed everything in the parking lot. The trip was saved. I was now driving a truck that had all the bolts it should (big win for feeling safe in the car). My wife decided to stay with me. Everything was perfect. Ace Hardware was truly "the helpful place". Big shout out to...
Read moreNever coming here again. Everyone is nice except for this one older guy who name starts with a B. Very rude! I'm just minding my business shopping and he asked me to sign up for a rewards card and its under my husband name so he heard the bday and started calling me "Gemini" and saying he doesn't like them but that's not even my zodiac sign. He told another cashier "she's a Gemini" likes its a bad thing and I just don't like that bullying mean girl energy he got going on. He doesn't even know me like that. Throwing jabs disguised as jokes.
He said he is a Taurus and I tried to diffuse the situation by saying I liked Tauruses. He is talking about Geminis when he's the one needing an attitude adjustment.
I'm not gonna judge anyone based solely on their sign but this is one bitter bull. Needs to work on his manners and people skills. I came to the store 2x in one day to get what I needed for a shelf project and he was nonstop on me. I don't want nor need that kind of attention from a man I do not know. He offended my husband too who isn't even there to defend himself.
When I politely called him out and said "thats not nice. Stop being mean" he got mad and went into victim mode. He said I was being mean for calling him mean, lol. Make it make sense. I should just stand there and let a man pick on me and smile I guess. Gonna go to a different Ace next time and avoid this drama altogether. Idk why I attract these types...
