After visiting 4-5 dealerships for anything you can think of, such as motorcycles, slingshots, dirt bikes ,electric bikes, utvs, atvs, i came across locomotion powersports , my family and i located locomotion powersports located on franklin turnpike in Mahwah new jersey, i have to say, after owning 4-5 atvs in my life , locomotion power sports has to be hands down the best dealer that you can find, everything they offer goes unmatched, their energy, their very bright words and smiles, their courtesy and respect, they are very fair with the pricing and are willing to do everything to make a deal happen and welcome you to the locomotion family!
I called looking for a 1000cc , immediately my sales guy ASH answered with a outstanding welcoming greeting and more than helpful taking a look to see if their inventory had a 1000cc, getting my phone number and name to send me over photos and a link to see the 1000s he had available for me, we entered the store with ash greeting us very brightly asking if we'd like a water or need anything then proceeding to show us around and lead us to the machine we were there for also answering all questions we had on the Polaris sportsman 1000xp !
Frank the sales manager took over and made sure i was happy with the numbers he provided to me for the ATV , he ensured we had the rebates they are offering as well as another discount to really go above and beyond welcoming us to the family and really doing his very best to ensure we are all satisfied!
Angela the parts manager walked over very brightly greeting my family and i being very kind and generous , showing us the helmets and gloves they have to offer to ensure and taking the time to make sure we are very safe while riding and ensuring all the equipment fits perfectly!
Patrick in finance took the time to go word for word and really made sure to thoroughly explain the warranty, not forcing us to take it like every other dealer, phenomenal pricing on the warranty and very fair, engaging you to know what you are buying and wants you to see what you are getting, also wants you to know your ride will be safe and you will always have help with open arms if anything ever goes wrong!
Last but not least , the whole crew ensured we had a way to bring the atv home without any obstacles or issues , i explained i did not have a truck or way to bring it home and i would need to rent a uhaul truck, frank the manager immediately stepped right back in stating that wouldn't be necessary and they would have my ATV delivered in my driveway immediately the next day so that way they can run around the machine ensuring it has all the proper liquid amounts as well as fully built to the maximum potential and making sure everything is locked in place ready to ride and safe!
The bottom line is LOCOMOTION POWERSPORTS is the best dealer for everything you want and need, DO NOT hesitate to make that phone call to them or even stop in!
Thank you Ash, Frank, Angela and Patrick for making this happen and thank you for making it such a great helpful and happy experience, we will see you guys soon for service and...
Read moreOriginally, I gave this dealership 5 stars. Leo, the sales rep, was excellent to work with and worked with me to get a deal on my 2023 T120. The parts department has also been friendly and helpful, and my initial experience with the service departmentâmainly for the first serviceâwas solid.
However, after two years and several service visits, I feel the need to update my review based on the decline in service quality.
Iâve returned to this dealership for the first service, chain adjustments, and most recently an X-pipe install.
I initially brought my bike in for chain services simply to avoid the hassle of removing mufflers and dealing with torque specs myself. I had an issue with the last chain service where both chain adjustment locknuts were left loose. After riding for a few miles, I noticed both sides were unevenâclearly a safety concern. I tightened and aligned them myself with a friendâs help, chalking it up to a one-time mistake.
Unfortunately, things worsened during my X-pipe installation: ⢠The rear brake lever was reinstalled incorrectly and was scraping against the exhaust. When I pointed it out, the tech bent it backâquick fix, but shouldnât have happened. ⢠My clutch felt off when I pulled out of the lot. I assumed it was rain mode or the new X-pipe itself, but turns out the clutch cable wasnât seated properly in the lever. Again, I fixed it myself once I discovered the issue. ⢠Several X-pipe bolts were not tightened properly. I went over and tightened them myself. ⢠My cruise control stopped working. I later found out this can happen if the dealer plugs into the bikeâs ECU and doesnât set the cruise control after. Fixable with a series of steps, but still something I had to research and figure out myself.
There was also an issue with pricing. I was quoted $390 for the X-pipe install with my own part (via call and text), but was charged $480. When I asked about the discrepancy, I was met with some attitude and told the quote I had was old (I had asked for a quote when I first got the bike). I had actually confirmed the updated quote just two weeks before the install, so that response was frustrating.
Long story short: ⢠Sales: Excellent ⢠Parts: Excellent ⢠Service: Disappointing
Iâve spent good money with this dealership and expected professional, careful work, where at the bare minimum things would be tightened to spec. If I werenât attentive and somewhat mechanically inclined, these oversights couldâve led to more serious issues or multiple trips to the dealership. At this point, I no longer trust the service department with my bike and wouldnât recommend others go there for...
Read moreThey don't need your hard earned money, apparently...Shocked to read more reviews with the same issue I have - service department will not work on dirt bikes that have some dirt on them. Quad needed 25 hr check as purchased 11 months ago. My daughter rode it through some puddles 2 days ago. According to Matt it was caked in mud. Let me back up. Purchased Polaris 570 Touring a year ago. Nice enough Sales people. Called to book service and no mention of pressure washing machine first. Showed up around 5 to drop off and they called for Matt. Ten minutes later I decide to go prepare to get quad off of pickup as no sign of Matt. Started pleasant conversation with another customer in lot. Matt struts out, interrupts our conversation and tells me his technicians won't work on dirty quad, pressure wash it and come back and then he walked away. Unbelievable. I re-secure quad on truck then go into to tell them it would have been nice it I was told when booking service that quad must be nice and pretty before the mechanics will touch it. With plenty of attitude Matt informed me my bike was caked in mud and his mechanics would not work on it. It was not. It had gone through some puddles. It's a machine whose sole purpose is to be ridden off road. In dirt. I've had dirt bikes serviced for over 50 years and never had a mechanic whine about dirt. We would hose off big mud but never be required to pressure wash. They could have offered to wash and charge me another $20. They could have been nice. They could have handed me a hose and asked me to give it a once over. I left work early to make their closing time. Loaded the quad, drove 40 minutes to them, half unloaded it to be told sorry too much dirtiness. Re-secure it, drive 40 minutes back home, unload it in the dark, turn on the hose and squirt it for 4 minutes and I think now it's workable. But I'll be finding another Polaris dealer to work on it. These guys don't want my money, my business or any future...
