Rogue State is everything one could look for in a game/hobby shop - knowledgeable staff, ample space for both tabletop games (such as Warhammer 40k, Horus Heresy, Age of Sigmar, and Star Wars), card games (such as MtG, Star Wars Unlimited, and Digimon) a solid assortment of paints and hobby supplies, and most importantly, a friendly and welcoming community! Anything they don't have in stock, they will work to get for you.

The location is also excellent. It's a 20-minute walk from NJ Transit train stations, and the shopping center has a variety of restaurants and a grocery store to grab a meal...

Great experience as a first timer. My kid got interested in Warhammer 40K table top gaming and Kenny took out a huge amount of time introducing us to the whole miniature, painting and gaming aspects. Hooked us up with some painting freebies and lessons on how to start painting with a base layer. My son is hooked. Management and staff are very welcoming, pricing for the products I was looking at were lower than most places I looked at (amzn) and Rogue State hosts gaming at the retail space each week. Oh wow! It's back! This store had the best staff. I was sad they closed, but they reopened under new management I guess? The air felt different, exciting, upbeat. The energy in the store was almost tactile. I loved that I could look at things, and ask questions without feeling like I was being hovered over. One of the people was even building some original kind of war figurines that looked so retro. They were nice enough to let me watch and ask questions.
