El Fast Burrito — Restaurant in Maine Township

Amazing food, i think its the first real burrito i eat, the combos are great, tacos, quesadillas, burritos. Im not an expert in mexican food but in my latinamerican spicy blood i could say its the best food in des plaines, however the costumer service sucks, everytime i say in english or spanish to them thank you/gracias they never respond, is it really hard to say your welcome/ de nada. I mean i know the important thing is the food but, i mean if you say thank you and they just stare at you like no saying nothing is weird, like they dont even care. The reason they get one star is because their customer service is a joke! My friend order tacos on taco 1$ Tuesdays. She had hair on her tacos and we told them and they removed the hair in front of us and told us "what hair??, what you talking about, I don't see anything!" And we saw them removing it. It was a hair from a guys beard who was making tacos. I told them; you must be kidding me right now! The guy was so rude and yelling at us that they are busy and that we are making a scene. Wow just ridiculous. Yes I get it its busy, you are running a special and this was over the board! Instead of apologizing and just making the tacos, which we can wait, he was super rude. When I still lived in DP, it was El Famous, and I stopped by almost every Sunday after church for tacos.

At some point after I moved away, it became El Fast. It seemed like the employees were the same, just the name changed. The food was still great, along with the service.

I tried El Fast again tonight for the first time in about three years, and I was NOT disappointed. I had the chicken burrito, and my daughter had tacos al pastor. The burrito was loaded with chicken, and was quite tasty. My daughter gave a thumbs up to her tacos, despite me forgetting to ask for them sans cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes.
