I placed an online order at 8:40pm (2 hours and 20 minutes before closing). After waiting an hour, I decided to call the restaurant and see if my order had been delayed. The night manager informed me that they had no drivers that evening and my order had been cancelled. When I asked when they were going to get around to informing me, he said that "someone" should have called. Sadly, it appears that "someone" and their driver were both taking the night off.
The worst part about this interaction was the manner in which this "manager" handled the situation. He was flippant, disrespectful, and didn't even have the character to apologize for the error. Obviously, customer service is not a consideration at this particular location.
Admittedly, I like Pizza Hut pizza. I also expect to be treated courteously by the staff at any restaurant with which I do business. The Lee Street, Pizza Hut in Des Plaines, appears to be incapable of providing that courteous service.
My sympathies if you were having a difficult evening Mr. "Night Manager", but please, try to control yourself and don't take your anger out on the franchise's customers. In fact, I'll even do you a favor. I'll go back to ordering from the locally-owned pizza places. This way, I won't be bothering you anymore and will be spending my money at restaurants that will actually appreciate...

We called back and told them the pizza they had prepared for us was in unacceptable condition, and they told us to drive back and they will make us another pizza (I know, we should have checked the pizza before leaving the hut). Once I arrived back at Pizza Hut, the cashier was super rude and arrogant, because I was returning the pizza (like it's my fault they did such a poor job making the pizza). Another associate came up and gave us our second pizza, which was also made incorrectly (again, another "hand tossed" pizza). Instead of arguing and waiting another 20 mins, we left. The staff is very unprofessional and there is definitely some miscommunication between the coworkers. Changed my order to 2 medium pizzas . When I got in the store the credit card terminal was not working so I couldn't pay with a credit card. Had cash on me so I offered to pay in cash . It turned out the they have problem with the register and can't provide change . I waited for 15 minutes and nothing. I literally tried to get my pizza and run out of the store but they warned me they'll call the police. I dropped the pizzas and left . When I arrived at home the police was waiting for me by my front door. Good thing is that they understood the situation otherwise I could end up in jail, because of this stupid Pizza Hut store . Avoid trouble and definitely avoid Pizza Hut...
