Legget's is pretty awesome. Easily recognizable from it's bright yellow art deco exterior and large blue neon Legget's marquee, it's an integral part of the community and a staging point for Fun Runs, Fishing tournaments, Live music, and other local events. It has my favorite outside patio for dinner just after dark on summer vacation. It's set back a little from Main St. so you'll remember you're at the shore while being able to unwind without all the bustle of well-minded, but sometimes too many, beachgoers. Just inside the patio door is the big red brick pizza oven and indoor dining area with your favorite classics, white pies, clam pizza, and enough toppings you never have to eat the same thing twice. Then, of course, there are the bars just a step down. The big bar is always open, but don't worry, when they need more capacity, the second full-sized bar opens up. (They're both open most of the time in the summer of course) Both bars occupy the same large hall and must accommodate close to 100 comfortably seated, and seemingly always happy, patrons with plenty of elbow room. At the bar, daily specials of your favorite wings, beer, mixed drinks, and of course pizza abound. There is probably a fried food just for you at a happy hour price. Additionally, this hall features enough TVs so that no matter where you sit, you will be able to watch every sporting event possible. This place is the love of my wife and her brother who were lucky enough for their family to own a beach house right on the ocean as children. I am personally amazed at how they can fit three large and differing personalities into the same restaurant where I feel comfortable and enjoy all of them. I guess that's why I...
Read moreIf I could post zero stars I would. Extremely disappointed with my first Leggetts experience. Three friends and I came to the bar to celebrate a birthday. Had some beers and pizza, all was well. We stepped outside for a couple minutes to get some fresh air and while trying to re-enter the building we were treated with utter disrespect. One of the security guards (tall older white male) singled out my friend and made a mockery of him in the parking lot in front of approximately thirty other patrons. This security guard screamed that my friend was not allowed in the establishment but would not give a reason why. I tried to speak to the security guard in a professional manner and was met with more disrespect and hard exclamations. I then asked for a manager and the guard, who would not give his name, stated he was the manager (which was a lie because I found the manager after the incident). The security guard made racial gestures towards one of my friends. At this point several members of the security team inserted themselves in the disagreement and went as far as placing their hands on my friend. Manasquan Police arrived and deescalated the situation with extreme professionalism. I have never taken to the internet to express my opinions about a business, but in this case it...

I came here on a summer Friday night for dinner with my boyfriend. They charged a cover at the door which you get back if you bring your dinner receipt (which was fine but after this experience I have no idea what the cover charge is for). To start out there is NO DRINK menu and the drinks you get are disappointing and small. If you’re coming for just drinks, good luck because between the overly loud music and the people screaming over the music, I can’t even hear yourself think.
We ordered our apps and food only to get one entree on the table then the bread to come out then everything else all at the same time...uhmmm what the hell kind of order is that?
Buffalo chicken pizza . Very very good, amazing pizza
French onion soup. Didn’t even give a spoon and had to wait for one but the soup was bland and there was barely any broth.
The garlic clams were extremely tasty but very small
Potoato skins good but greasy (cheap cheese)
Waitress barely showed up. Overall I wouldn’t go back...don’t waste your time. I’m very disappointed in my experience.
Also good luck...
