Not as pet friendly as they say! First, i couldn't use the bathroom bc i had my dog, okay no problem. Went somewhere else. No servers so you have to go order from the counter. Well the old lady the one with an attitude tells me tie my dog up. I said I dont think that's a good idea and she just said WELL. so I tye my dog up and it scared the shit out of him. He trys to run, chair attached to him and almost runs in the street and gets hit by a car. Don't advertise as pet friendly if your not accommodating to people that are alone with there pets. Someone could have easily taken my order. Seems they only respect locals there. Never again. Also, there were a bunch of digs sitting with their humans. They only gave the locals water for their dog. I know this bc they were on a frist name basis. I will advise everyone I know to not come here! This place is ridiculous!
Replying - I'm assuming this is the old lady that had a bad attitude that's responding to this review. First of all, I didn't ask you to hold my dog. What makes you think I would trust you when you have a bad attitude towards guests? 2nd if you read my review I said they didn't allow me to use the bathroom NO PROBLEM. Also, since you been there so long you would know the public bathroom is on the boardwalk which dogs are not allowed. You could say all you want but the truth of the matter is there were 4 dogs (not including mine) and only ONE of them were given water which was the local. My review is true and fair but I could see your trying to justify your...
Read moreSo this is a more accurate response from my last one. It was my 2 friends birthday and me and my friend took one of the birthday friends to go to riverside cafe, then my other friends and the birthday girl wanted to go to Carlson’s. So I’m at riverside and we order our food. Then before we got our food our friends from Carson’s come. They sit down, and we still don’t have our food. But one of my friends wanted to try the icecream, so she went I’m riverside and asked for a spoon. And the lady said “what so you can use the spoon to eat your ice cream form Carlson’s” so she didn’t even let her get a spoon. Then I go get napkins and they tell me that it’s rude to bring Carlson’s here. Then we left to the beach and came back later. We all got ice cream this time except for one of my friends. So we got ice cream from Carlson’s and stood on the SIDEWALK. Then one of our friends goes and the the worker immediately says “Are you kidding me those kids are back gain, what the hell why won’t they leave!” So then for the 3rd time he told my friend we couldn’t eat ice cream there, while WE WERE ON...
Read moreI love the food, its a great restaurant, with a great view of the inlet. However, the owner always responds negatively to a bad review. She is just way too stubborn about her business, because she denies everything. At first she denied the story in the review, and i believed her. Then she denied another, which seemed too repetitive. What else is repetitive, is that you always use the same "we owned this business for 52 years" thing, which does not help your case. I get it, its hard work to run it for that long, but its not making anybody feel THAT bad. I also love the language you use on some people, like "you must be a millennial" or " freeloader." All he did was ask for a napkin! Also, if somebody was about to die of dehydration, obviously you wouldn't give him water. Just a little cup of water is not worth 1$, that's highway robbery! And one more thing, stop being so competitive! Carlson's Corner is a great place to eat, and I don't see them complaining about your food on their area! I feel bad for writing this bad of a review, but i hope to get an even worse one...
