I had not been to a Joe’s Pizza in many years
Having grown up in PWC, I was familiar with them and their famous Hot Hippie Rolls, as well as their famous Zep subs. So, when in Manassas recently and near one, I stopped in for a hippie roll. I didn’t see it on the menu, but I asked the guy if they still sold the Hot Hippie Roll and he said yes. Basically, he made a fresh mild sausage roll. But it was still very tasty and piping hot and fresh too! It’s a nice, portable meal as it comes wrapped in aluminum foil, you just unwrap the portion you want to bite and hold the rest in the foil. It came with a nice and tasty marinara too. This particular Joe’s is in the “hood” part of Manassas, but he was friendly and the food was decent. It’s definitely a much different vibe than the original style of Joe’s though, as this was a combination Mexican bakery too – odd
But what I got was good.

Joe's pizza and subs is a hole in the wall pizza joint. It is not in the best neighborhood and it doesn't have much curb appeal but the food is solid. The pizza turnover is large and oozes plenty of gooey cheese and sauce. It comes with a side of warm marinara which is perfect for dipping. I got a side of ranch which was perfect. The italian sub was solid too. We got a six inch which was small but loaded with meat and toppings. Chips were extra with the sub. They have a variety of pizza, subs, salads and desserts on the menu. Pretty much what you would expect from a place like that. They do not have a soda fountain, only bottled drinks. Seating is extremely limited. Only two tables inside and a few outside as well. Despite its looks the food held its own against other similar pizzerias. Would definitely go back if I were in the area.

Just ordered two steak and cheese subs :/ I took my bite first and almost threw up as the meat tasted old. Then opened my sandwich and saw a massive chunk of fat about 2 inches big then realized the meat is roast beef or pulled roast beef? Tasted very old. My husband took a bite of his and spit it out instantly. We are not picky eaters and I can’t remember ever leaving a review on food but this was bad. Very dissapointed as we order pizza from them all the time and never have issues and delivery is always very good. Also ordered bacon cheese fries and received potato wedges. Paid 50$ and have to order from house of Philly now. Will not order sub from here again unfortunately

So you would think that with all of the "good" reviews that i am seeing that my experience would be a great one...But i can honestly say it was not. The customer service from the guy who usually picks up and answers the phone is very polite and genuine I commend him for attempting to fix any problems i had. Who the store is ran by though is a different story....The manager does not deserve the title -As for my food...I can say that I was far from impressed...I ordered 2 supreme Philly cheese steak subs and a box of wings...When these items arrived to my house the wings were the first thing to be looked at as there was slim to none sauce as it was mostly on the box and not AT ALL on the chicken its self and the subs were a mess...to say the least they were completely wrong...and by the time we had got to them and decided to call after it was too late because Joes was closed, so we waited till the next morning to call and get them fixed..spoke to a "manager" and he said we would need to bring the 2 untouched un-bitten subs back to the restaurant look at them to see what was messed up then if they "could be", re-make them and then send out the new subs later on that day...and whos to say WHEN we would get them..argued with me about the subject and took forever with the new subs...and the new ones PFFTT- NOT EVEN WORTH THE WAIT...never ordering...

I just called and placed the order for Tuesday steak and cheese subs. The person who took my order did not ask me for my phone number and did not ask me for my address. I called back due to the fact that our building is locked and I need to come down and get the food. They had a complete different phone number And then the driver calls me and tells me that they don’t have the right address for me because he went to another location and when I called to speak to the manager, a guy named Peter answer the phone and said can I help you and I try to explain to him the situation and he told me to just give the driver the address and he’ll be there in a few minutes, so what’s the problem? The problem is there was no decent service of communication so there wasn’t a problem And now my food arrived soggy and cold. This place has done this for the second time and the fact that they don’t care about their customer service is unbelievable to me, but what do you expect ordering from a restaurant next...
