I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant yesterday while celebrating my friend's 21st birthday. Initially, everything seemed to be going well, and we were enjoying ourselves. However, the experience took a turn for the worse when our food arrived and it was the wrong order. My friend had ordered only crab and lobster, but received a C3 in addition to the crab and lobster instead. I understood that there might have been a language miscommunication since all the staff appeared to be of Asian descent and some of the time they didn’t understand what we were saying. When I managed to get the attention of our waiter, she was very polite and acknowledged the mistake. She spoke with the manager and then returned to our table to take away the incorrect food. We assumed she would correct the order and bring back the rest of the food, but instead, we never got the food back. When we inquired about the rest of the food, the waiter said she would get the manager. When the manager arrived, she was immediately hostile towards us, claiming that we had wasted $20 worth of food because it had to be thrown away. She refused to give us the rest of our order and presented us with the check, expecting us to pay for the food we didn't receive. Despite our efforts to remain respectful, she continued to be unprofessional and hostile. I then asked to speak to someone higher up, and she claimed to be the owner, which was confusing. We ended up arguing for about 20 minutes, drawing the attention of the entire restaurant due to her loud and chaotic behavior. Her attitude was shocking, especially considering she was supposed to be managing the establishment. The waiter, on the other hand, was much more polite and understanding. Despite acknowledging their mistake, the manager/owner insisted we pay full price for the food we didn't get. I tried to compromise by asking for a discount since my friend didn't get to eat her full order, but she found this amusing and laughed at us. Feeling helpless, I called my dad, which seemed to intimidate her. Only then did she agree to give us the rest of our food, although I wouldn’t be surprised if she spit in it after such an unpleasant interaction. I urge caution when dining at this restaurant. Our experience was deeply disappointing, and I hope no one else has to go through the tragedy we...
Read moreFrom a 3-star to a 4-star review I will definitely make it return trip because of Groupon and the service in this establishment. Just a warning, do not order the Crawfish here!
Get your group on knubs ready for $15 you get $30 worth of food
Came in at 3pm on a Saturday and wonder why there is nobody in here maybe because the price is pretty steep? I do not know but it can't be because of the service because the service is pretty good here.
I ordered the $5 lobster bisque, oyster basket with seasoned fries and a pound of buttery garlic seasoned crawfish and a beer for $6. The oysters and seasoned fries were okay as well as the lobster bisque not a home run out of the ballpark but it was not bad at all what was bad is the live crawfish they offer you for $13 a pound. Being so far from home I decided to bite, boy was I wrong on that and as I voiced my opinion on the Crawfish the waitress or whoever they lady is told me that since I did not like it and she understands because she did visit New Orleans and understand what fresh crawfish is decided to give me something else which would have been the crab legs.
If not for that gesture I definitely would not have been back and would have been a three-star review so make your own assertion on this if you're not from the south and this is probably your cup of tea if you don't order the said, crawfish!
This is worth another Groupon try but maybe next time...
Read moreWe went to “Long Time No Sea” tonight. I didn’t realize in time that the name referred to the fact that the seafood had been out of the sea for a really long time. I am from Louisiana and LOVE Cajun food! I wanted boiled seafood, Gumbo, Etoufee, shrimp Creole, crawfish pie, Pastalaya, andouille sausage, boudin or red beans and rice! There was none of this! It is Asian food with a sprinkle of Cajun and old bay seasoning on the fried rice or clam Chowder. The shrimp was fine, served in a bag and covered in butter but the crabs tasted like muddy water and obviously suffered from malnutrition. The sausage was horrible! It tasted like hotdogs, covered in butter and salt. Yuck. Even wiping the sausage with napkins didn’t make it edible. But the real clincher is the waitress charged my card for both my table and another one and I now get to fight with my bank for a refund due to being over charged -$50. I asked for the manager due to the financial problem but the owner was in New York celebrating Chinese New Year. I am very disappointed! This place had great potential but it is false advertising and disrespectful to my Louisiana heritage to advertise it as “Cajun” and to over-charge...
