China Village — Restaurant in Virginia

This place is a hit or miss. Had this place many times with my partner for good priced and okay chinese food. If that’s what you want - This place takes the cake. The taste is average mostly and sometimes bland, along with dryness. The employees are usually pleasant, but they can be awkward and not exactly the most warm individuals, especially if you have an issue to be addressed with them. I had an issue with my order not going through on the app but they still charged my card, they were not the most kind to talk to when resolving the issue, and are very curt when trying to get you off the phone. I think most the awkwardness is due to a language barrier, but an attempt to at least be warmer towards your customers would be nice. They will hang up on you if they feel like it. One guy delivered my food to my door and immediately after placing food in my hands just says: “By the way There’s no tip on this” and twiddles with the receipt printed from online, and stares me down at the door for a tip. Well… Usually you earn the tip AFTER you deliver the food for a job well done and I am not sure that is how you ASK for a tip, especially when someone just spent a lot of money at your business… Safe to say I really wish there were better places in town, but this place gets three stars for mediocre food and attitudes, but still being a go to if you just need something easy and edible down your stomach with at least fresh ingredients (sometimes questionable because each meal can...

The food here is delicious! However, the lady who works the phones in the day is an impatient, money hungry customer servant. This woman rushes customers off the phone without hearing their full order. I ordered a dish that had peanuts in it, and my son is allergic. The woman was rushing me off the phone so much until she didn't hear my request for no peanuts. As a result, we spent 6 hours in the ER, all because she was rushing to take other orders. The best phone employee that this place has works in the evening time. The young girl is really good she takes her time and listens.

This was my first and last time going to this place. The food was absolutely awful. I ordered the Orange Chicken lunch special. As you can see the friend rice was just that rice friend with soy sauce. And the chicken tasted like you were biting into wood. It had to be old chicken they simply reheated. I called the company and all she could offer me was a insincere "Sorry" and hung up the phone. She didn't ask if I wanted a fresh order or if I wanted something else. Not did she offer a refund.
