Decided to try this place out because of the great reviews and I'll think twice next time. It started off bad when I went to pick up my food & they tried to charge me an extra $5 plus threw my receipt out before completing my order so I had to give them my full order again after placing it online. I asked how the price was higher so they called the owner because I guess no one knew what to do & I was handed the phone which was weird to me but was told "we changed our prices a few weeks ago" but mind you nothing showed the changes...not the website or the menu sitting on the counter! You can't just change prices and not show the new prices!!! But I was assured by the owner that they would "honor" the website price which to me should be no question but the person working the register still charged me the incorrect amount. By this point it has been almost an hour from the time I placed my order online for pick up and still haven't gone home to feed my family. After all of this waiting to be refunded the $5 because no one understood how to give a refund on the credit card machine & numerous calls to the owner. After all of this nonsense I finally just asked for a full refund which they didn't want to give but finally did and I gladly gave the food back. I gave a local restaurant a try & they failed. I will gladly continue to frequent my other Peruvian options. All of your employees need better training on your technology & equipment if you're going to use a website for ordering & the credit card machine if that's a form of payment you choose to accept and customer service! And stop making excuses for employees who claim to not understand but are just refusing...
Read moreI normally do not complaint about restaurants. I always try to give people the benefit that they might be overwork or short staff. However this place left me we not choice. This is the third time ( definitevely the last)that I got screw up. First time I place my order over the phone and showed up and the person who took my order did not ring my order so they did not have anything ready and told me at that moment they were out of chicken so It would be at least 45 minutes wait. Lady was rude and pretty much told me either I wait or I could co somewhere else. Second time: I asked for whole chicken and large yuca. She charge me for a small yuca instead and when I got my order and noticed it. I went back to her and she wanted me to pay for another small yuca so the price was a dollar more then the large it self plus Tax. Eventhough she made the mistake did not acknoledge it. Third time and Last straw was I ordered two whole chicken and large yuca. Was at eleven in the morning when they just open they were not busy what so ever . When I got home I realized they gave me a whole chicken, large yuca and half chicken with rice and salad instead of the other whole chicken. I live too far to go back for half of chicken plus if you call them they do not care at all. I always try to support small local bussiness but super chicken is definitevely...
Read moreHONEST STAR RATING.... 3.5 :-/ I bumped my stars to 4 since the price was very reasonable.
Starting off with the GOOD: The chicken was fantastic. It was well seasoned, moist and served piping hot. The plantains were crispy on the outside sweet and tender inside - Perfect in my opinion.
The DISAPPOINTING: The yellow sauce tasted like mayonaise... Not at all what I am used to in a Peruvian chicken restaurant. The green sauce was okay, but missing something. The rice was scorched and inedible. I hope this was just an off-day if was full of dry chicken pieces and hard egg...UGH.
OTHER STUFF: The restaurant is dated (I don't care about that) but very clean. There was a revolving door of diners the entire 45 minutes I sat and ate. Clearly, this is a popular place. ALSO, I didn't have any issues with the staff as I saw many complain about in...
