Global Food — Local services in Manassas

I haven’t been here in a while, but I remember it well as I went regularly, for a time..

I want to say that the selection in the store, especially for Asian products, is the best I’ve seen. And the prices were good too, I like Hmart but too expensive and selection is not as good.

However, there was a problem with the seafood section stinking up the whole store. Seafood should not smell that bad, and the smell even permeated the fresh produce. I cooked zucchini from there and could taste the seafood section smell and had to just throw it away. Waste :( it was like one big refrigerator where something has gone bad and making all of the food have foul odor and taste. I don’t know if the problem has been resolved but it’s a sign of very bad sanitation practices in the meat and seafood departments and that could make people sick. It goes without saying that the chicken legs were good quality except they too had the smell.

I hope they have fixed the problem, if so. I would give this place 5 stars...

i did stops to buy some grocery at global in manassas, all was right til i get to the cashier 7 .there was a lady paying ahead of me saying prices where higher than she sow at the shelves,the cashier treat very rud in spanish,,when i got my turn i advised her to be nicer with costumers she treatme bad too ,i stop a the front office trying to talk to someone and things got even worsen whe a lady spanish told me is a men right there but you need to speack english i told her i do ,when i aproched to the store manager he was not to nice either i told him what happened .i m a loyal costumer of this store but the service i received on 9/19/2015 around 6 pm was the worse...only one guy that was bagging was the only one who probably know what a costumer service is ,he...

It has mainly Latin America and East Asia food, spices, sauces, and almost everything. The produce section provides various types of fruit and vegetables. The meat section is acceptable but the fish section smells and sometimes you get the stinky fish smell from the farthest corner of the store. It definitely needs more attention. The cash register aisle are so narrow that even if you are a formula one race driver, you will hit your cart several times. And a question that is never solved for me; there are cash registers for cash only and card only. If they were self service, it makes sense but when there are associates at each cash register I still don't get it why they have separated the registers. By the way, they have a good selection...
