Potbelly — Restaurant in Virginia

Normally I really like and enjoy eating at Potbelly. However, I am now sitting here with a tasteless, nearly meatless sandwich. I decided to treat my mom to a quick lunch and figured why not have a flavorful sandwich at Potbelly. Unfortunately for us, it must have been the twilight hour, because we waited a good 7 minutes before anyone even approached us to take our order.(there were only 2 people in front of us and not another soul in the store. So they weren't busy at all) The sandwiches were horrible, the trash looked like it hadn't been taken out all day, and there was trash all over the floor. I was particularly surprised that both of our sandwiches were practically meatless. Every bite was nothing but toppings and mouthful after mouthful of hot peppers. My mom ordered the Jersey style cheesesteak sandwich and I ordered the chicken and cheddar sandwich with the works. Although both sandwiches were the original size, we were only able to eat half because we had already gotten heartburn from the amount of hot peppers and lack of meat. I'm not sure if my sandwich had any cheese and I most certainly didn't taste ANY chicken until the very last bite. We have been to this location several times. The food is tasty and we like the set up of the restaurant. We went yesterday and unfortunately had a bad experience with the staff. We put our order in and when we got to the cashier she just wasnt personable, very short etc-which i usually would just let go and assume they are having a diddicult day-everyone has those. But the girl making my sandwich asked me what i wanted on it, I asked for no mayo, but she had already put mayo on it. She looked for the cashier girl to help her decide what to do and they showed me the sandwich to explain that they had only put a little mayo on. It was actually a large amount but either way i explained that i do not like Mayo. They then asked me if I could just scrape it off! I asked them again to please remake the sandwich with no mayo. It really rubbed me the wrong way that i was met with eye rolls and had to ask 2 times to have my sandwich without mayo. We will go to the Gainesville...

Upon entering, the place was completely empty with no customers. I stood and waited for several minutes and looked around for an employee until someone finally noticed me from the back room moving things around. I ordered a sandwich and noticed the employee wearing the same gloves after working the the back room. I proceeded to go to the register to pay and the same employee took my money and gave me the change wearing the exact same gloves. He then went back to the sandwich station and again made the next order for another customer wearing the exact same gloves. The bottom line is that the manager/ Owner should be training the employees food handling techniques for the benefit of the customers. The gloves aren’t to be worn to protect the hands of the employee, it’s to protect the health & safety of the customers. ...
