Sunday night, Oct 14th, 2018, the Patriots were playing Kansas City. A HUGE GAME. All, but maybe 5 Tvs including the huge TV over the bar of the 50+ screens had the Patriots game on. The problem is that the sound blasting over the speakers throughout the entire bar and the bathrooms was the sound of the Red Sox game (which was on approximately 5 screens!). Many people complained and the manager switched the sound to the Patriots game (awesome, listen to the majority of your customers as you should! Great job!). The approximately 5 people (out of approx. 50) who were watching the Red Sox game acted like 2 year Olds and threw a temper tantrum and provoked others to almost fight them. Instead of removing the 5 unruly Red Sox individuals (who were clearly friends with the manager), the manager made a poor business decision and switched the sound back to the Red Sox game. Now you have 5 happy Red Sox fans vs. 50 very unhappy Patriots paying patrons. One of the patrons actually went around to every person in the bar and took a poll (at the suggestion of a waitress... she even recognized the wrong doing) and found that 47 people wanted the Patriots game sound on VS. 7 people who wanted the Red Sox game sound on. The manager discovered this and went to the patron and rudely barked, "I don't care what your poll shows, the sound for the Red Sox game will stay on!" The manager's pals cheered and several people started walking out of the bar. Now, I get it that the Red Sox game is a division series game. What isn't appropriate is the disengagement of ~45 patrons who are at Billy's to watch and hear the Patriots game (not the Red Sox game) and the manager chose to support his hand full of Red Sox buddies over the overwhelming paying majority. Shameful. I hope the owner is paying attention. Myself and many other will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read more3 of us went today because a friend recommended Billyās to try the wings. First impression it is a āDIVEā can tell not much $$$ goes back into the inside. Menās room sinks didnāt work, I told the blonde waitress and she stated cook checked and sink works but kind of funky to get it to work. You think sheād tell her customers how to get it to work. The dark haired waitress was very good but the blonde had attitude and poor customer service. I had to waive her down at one point so we could order and she told me not to waive at her and I was rude. Again very poor customer service, sheād rather stand at end of bar then check in on her customers.
Later party of 5 came in and sat behind us and they were already pretty buzzed but no cared and still served them. They should lose their jobs for that and one of the 5 was being absolutely obnoxious, until I myself had to turn around and tell him to shut the āblipā up.
A lot of changes need to be made at this place before Iād go back.
And the wings lacked...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHighly recommended. I really enjoyed this place. Will definitely go back. It's a cozy sport bar with an abundance of beer and more importantly TV's. (Theres even one in the bathroom). So besides the feel and look of the place, our meals were great. Probably like a 4 out of five possibly 3.5. My girlfriends meal was nice hot and fresh. Mine had been sitting a little bit, but was still very acceptable. They can be a little disorganised with the wait staff. But they make up for it because they keep checking how everything is and if you have everything you need. You dont go without a beverage. THE ONLY CRITIQUE - their French fires are massive. If they literally were half the thickness, it may have gotten five stars lol On the menu it says steak fries are optional (if available) but their regular fries are big steak fries. But again I...
