All omelets come with three eggs.
My order, the Provolonie Omelet...sausage, mushroom, spinach, with provolone cheese. It was...excuse my pun, OUT OF THIS WORLD! It was well balanced, velvety, and served at just the right temperature. The hash brown was crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. It doesn’t cut my mouth as would overcooked hash brown. It was a perfect combination.
My gf had the Fiesta Omelet...sausage, onions, peppers, cheddar cheese with side of sour cream and salsa. She picked the option of grits on the side. Her breakfast was also cooked to perfection. It offered a fine balance of taste and texture.
This establishment though looks like a dive from the outside is truly a uniquely hidden gem! The artistry in the diner, particularly when you head towards the back to use the restroom is a little eclectic art gallery with many unique exhibits and arcade. The floor is painted in a cosmic theme, yet, there’s a painted yellow brick road on the floor to guide you along.
It seems like a place that welcome hipsters, but those who dined this Wednesday for brunch with us were predominantly boomers. There were millennials there along with this GenX.
Our waiter who took our order didn’t smile, but he wasn’t rude at all. On the contrary, he was very approachable. You can ask him questions despite his demeanor. We asked as first time guests, questions about the establishment. It was busy in there, but he took the time to answer our questions and point the owner out to us. She saw him point and waved at us....very humble!
I have to say, this place is a REAL GEM! I’m defiantly making this place a destination stop to put on the map. If I had a choice to stop by an I-Hop along the route or go an extra 5-10 miles to get to the Cosmic Omelet...it’s Cosmic...

Located at the back of the Plaza, you'll find the Cosmic Omelet with ample parking.
We were quickly seated and given a booth with half bench seating, the other half chairs. The restaurant was moderately busy when we arrived for a late breakfast.
There is plenty to look at as the decor is unique. It's a bit spacey, ecletic, and just downright fun. There are a few bits that need repair, hence the 4 stars for the atmosphere. Be sure to follow the yellow brick road to the restrooms and art gallery. Yes, gallery where things are for sale.
On to the food.
We ordered a Western Omelet with shredded hashbrowns and a grilled English muffin with a coffee. 😋 Perfection is all I can say. The filling went through the entire omelet. Something you don't see much of these days.
My hubby ordered the French toast with 2 over easy eggs, bacon, a side of grits, and a cup of tea. Let's just say he left nothing on his plate and said he wanted to return again.
He did have two comments. His observations were that the French Toast wasn't what he would refer to as Texas Toast size. The grits were super creamy but the consistency of Cream of Wheat. Which wasn't a bad thing as they were both delicious.
Service was OUTSTANDING! This place works like a well-oiled machine. It's definitely a place to return to again and again. No wonder they have won so many...
Read moreNot a place for vegetarians, especially those with religious restrictions (halal, kosher, etc). That's ironic as the place literally has egg in its name and vegetarians would think they can eat here no problem. But there's a major problem with that. They prepare the vegetarian (even vegan) items and the meat on the same surface at the same time. We asked that the surface be wiped before making our vegetarian order for 4. The server told us that it wouldn't be possible as the cooks don't clean surfaces between orders and prepare multiple orders at one time. They could have bacon fat on surface with my vegetarian omelet next to it. All 4 of us are Muslims, so weren't just looking for vegetarian food but noncontaminated food. They basically told us that cross contamination does not only happen here, they don't even care if it happens, even if requested to do so.
I run a takeout restaurant and a catering food service myself. I know everything is possible if you commit to it. These are just excuses. If the owner wants to actually make it happen, the cook will have no choice but to do it.
So, this place is NOT RECOMMENDED for vegetarians or those with religious restrictions. For others, it's fine. Good place to eat...
