I’m so embarrassed for this restaurant. Maybe it was an off day? I’ll Never know because we’re just passing through.
We waited for 4 other tables to sit and get drink orders before my family had anyone come by to tell us they’d be back for us- which turned into 4 servers offering to get us a waitress. Finally I had to go to the podium to have the manager take our drink and meal order. At this point my 7yo ordered spaghetti and was asked what she wanted for a side and responded with “Mac and cheese”. I looked and asked if that was an option? Manager taking order said yes. Shift change” was the reason we watched 3+ other families come in and leave before we got food.
The food takes a while and when it comes the server tells us, “I’m sorry I dropped the other kids meal”. I’ll have it right out— the one kids burger that did come the top bun was ripped and way over cooked. The salad had wilted lettuce and cold hard steak. We all finished our meals including the one with a missing meal, he filled up on rolls. My 7yo is full from her spaghetti and doesn’t touch the Mac n cheese (obviously, she didn’t need a side for that because it’s a big meal). All of our drinks are empty at this point. At this point I call on this kind server who was passing by for the manager. A manager and our server who we’ve seen twice show up with the missing meal. We tell them we don’t want the meal and that we’ve been looking for the server to tell her this. We tell him our 2 yo filled up on rolls and doesn’t need the meal at this point. This manager offers “we can pack it to go”, and was very pushy and awkwardly stood there waiting for us to take the plate. No, thank you but we are camping and have no place to put this food.
Then the bill arrives. The kids burger meal is off the bill via “promotion” BUT there’s a charge for the side of Mac and cheese for apx $3! At this point I’m ready to leave, the kids are losing it. I ask the server about the change and she says, “no you shouldn’t have been charged because the kids meal comes with a side”.
We never got a drink refill either.
The final receipt arrived with the kids meal missing and a 10% military discount on MY SALAD to make up for the Mac and cheese charge. Y’all - My husband and I are BOTH military! My husband says, “oh you do military discount? Here’s my military ID.”
The server legit looks at him and says, “That’s all you’ll get off, 10% off one meal.”
I’m so over it and have to leave. I’ve kept my composure and smiled/laughed off every issue previous to this. I take the kids and leave while my husband pays the bill.
It’s unacceptable the way 4 things were handled here, in my opinion, but who am I? We won’t be back but we wouldn’t have been anyway because we’re not from the area.
Best wishes to the one server who cared enough to check on us, even if you did get told, “leave them alone, this...
Read moreShort: I waited 2 hours for a to go order that was missing soup and dressing. I asked for a refund and was refused, but offered free meal cards. I turned them down because we don’t have them where I live. The manager was a terrible communicator and sorry excuse for a leader. The front staff were nothing but kind, apologetic and frankly seemingly embarrassed for my experience. This was no one’s fault but the manager who had every opportunity to make this right.
Long: After 2 days of backpacking, my husband and I got a hotel in Manchester and placed a to-go order at 4:45pm last night (2-23-24). I showed up at 5:15, 5 minutes after the estimated pick-up time. They were swamped and told me it would be another 15 minutes before my food was ready. The people at the front were nothing but kind. They apologized multiple times and kept checking in the back, but kept getting blown-off….which in turn meant that I wasn’t getting any type of wait time. We had spent a decent amount of money, so finally at 5:45 (an hour after I placed the order) I started asking for a manager. The managers were “all in the kitchen as the kitchen couldn’t keep up”, but quickly I realized multiple people were picking up to go orders that had placed them long after mine. (I know because I asked them when they placed their orders) I even had the opportunity to speak to the to-go food prep, and he kept telling me it was on the way. At 6, I finally got to speak to a manager who I told I just wanted my money back. She said she would go check on my order and be right back with a real update. She never came back. At 6:20, I went to the bartender and told them I was trying VERY hard to keep my cool, but I was about to lose it. I had paid roughly $100 for a Togo order over an hour and a half ago and I couldn’t get anyone to even give me an update or a refund. At 6:35 the manager came back out with my food and tried to give me free meal cards (which I refused because we don’t have one in my area)…. I didn’t realize I was missing soup from the order until I got back to the hotel. My steak, which is ordered the filet, had so much fat it was almost inedible, and to top it all off, the cinnamon rolls we’d ordered as dessert didn’t even rise correctly and were hard and chewy. No refund whatsoever, incorrect, gross and lukewarm food, and a terrible manager. Her staff kept apologizing and in the end, it was I who thanked them and then apologized to them for working under someone who has no idea how to...

Long version: My husband and I went to this Logan’s on 2/24/2024 for dinner. We’ve been here before without much of an issue, but this last time was problematic enough that we probably won’t go back.
I ordered a salad with fried chicken and my husband ordered a 6oz steak with salmon and sweet potato. After a normal wait time, they brought an 8oz steak with broccoli and a grilled chicken on rice. It was not our order at all. We reminded our server what we actually ordered and were not sure what happened, but the manager Miranda, came out to get our orders, again. There wasn’t an apology or any acknowledgement that there was a mess up. After that, neither our server nor Miranda came by to check on us. I’m pretty sure our server was trying to avoid us, because she would go the long way around to get to other tables. Eventually, my husband was able to flag our server down because we didn’t know what was going on with our food and our server basically said that it was on her manager. We noticed that another table had sent back their burgers because they came out undercooked while we were waiting for our meal, and they eventually brought out new burgers for them. We were still waiting for our order.
THIRTY minutes after they brought out the wrong order, and having no service or communication from either our server or Miranda, my husband went to Miranda to let her know that we’ve been waiting for a while for our food. To his dismay, she didn’t give much of a response.
After waiting a while longer, my husband went up again to talk to Miranda because we were ready to leave at this point. Miranda finally came out with the salad, and said that we could have the meal for free and have it to go, but they didn’t have his order at all!! It was clear that she never put in our order after she had come by to “fix” the original mix up.
We’re pretty sure Miranda had chewed out our server for the original mix up so it’s a bit ironic that she messed up...
