Decided to give this place a shot and place an order for the first time. Ordered the eggplant parm, antipasta salad, and fried cauliflower. The ordering experience was frustrating. The slice app had very scant descriptions of menu items and I had to reload the page a number of times to get the paypal option to work. It eventually did. But the notifications / tracking is useless. If you downloaded the app, delete it when your done. Lol. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was hot. I had requested ranch with appetizer, but got marinara and no dressing at all for the salad. Little bit of a disappointment, but not the end of the world. The cauliflower was all really tiny nickle & dime size pieces. I'll chalk that up to the end of bag. It was still good. The salad was OK. I didn't have real high expectations, no one around here serves a good antipasta salad. The lettuce was definitely fresh and Kalmatta olives instead of canned black olives was definitely appreciated. Why most places around here toss whole slices of meat on a salad instead off taking the time to slice it is beyond me, but par for the area. As is straight iceberg as the only green. I felt a $1 uncharged for a little tomato in a $12 salad was unreasonable. The Eggplant parm and pasta, again, was ok. Not great but not bad. I enjoyed the eggplant itself, but the pasta not so much. The sauce was just off... overly sweet with a taste that almost reminded me of carrot purree. Very little actual flavor otherwise. I've heard of tomato sauces in Dutch country being sweet, but this was just too much for me to enjoy. Had a couple bites and fed it to the dog. The bread that was served with it was great though. Best part of the meal actually. Probably should have started out with trying the pizza. Maybe some other time. At a total cost of $45 with $10 of it delivery fees and tip. I just don't feel like the value vs quality was there. Will probably try the pizza in the future but not in a rush to try again. All that being said, still better than half the shops...
Read moreLove & Pizza in Manchester, PA, was truly a gem to find! My wife and I happened across this delightful Italian restaurant one day, following a service at Thrive Church (also in Manchester, PA). We were tired of eating the same, everyday food and were driving around looking for something new, different…and tasty…to try. When we went into Love & Pizza we found what we were looking for…and the rest is, as they say…history!
The owners, Gio and Martina, were very welcoming and friendly! We learned that they are from Sicily and use original recipes from their country. The pizza dough is made fresh daily…as are many of the other menu items. I ordered a cheese pizza and quickly discovered that the pizza sauce had just the right variation of sweet and salty! YUM!! My wife’s salad was huge and amazing!
We went back the next week and ordered other items from the menu. This time I had the cheesteak stromboli. It was incredible…loaded with lots of meat and cheese, complete with a side of the mouth-watering sauce! I ate my fill and had plenty left over for lunch the next day! My wife ordered the wings and could not believe how much meat was on them! She loved the hot wing sauce, as well!
We asked if they deliver and were very pleased to hear…that THEY DO! We like that for nights when we are working on things at home and don’t want to take the time to drive somewhere…it can be delivered right to our door!
Since our initial visit, we have been back to Love & Pizza NUMEROUS times, so we could try the other taste-tantalizing items on their menu...and we have brought family and friends to joins us there, as well!
Bottomline: If you are tired of eating the same old food and want to try something new and delicious, then drop/stop what you are doing and go to Love & Pizza (or place an order for delivery)! Your taste buds will thank you!
Needless to say, WE WILL BE BACK! 😊 Maybe we’ll see...
Read moreI ordered delivery. First time ever eating from here! I got 16 BBQ wings, 16 hot wings. And 1 large cheese /pepperoni pizza.
Delivery was fast! They have an app that tracks your order the whole way to your door. The kids loved this. The site was very easy to use. Overall great experience. Delivery guy was friendly and it went smoothly!
Food, the pizza was great! I think next time I will order extra cheese. Sauce was great! Kids enjoyed it which is a plus, as I have a few picky eaters in the house. Wings, the size of them is amazing! They are what I call “real” wings. Not that fake gross garbage from dominos! However they were very dry.. everyone had 1 or two , but the meat was over done. I wouldn’t let this part sway your decision, as narrowing down what to choose to eat was hard! Lots of amazing options! And wings are a tough food in general, one batch is perfect the next is overdone. That’s everywhere I’ve ever went when it comes to...
