Cappuccino on Collins — Restaurant in Mandan

About as bad as it gets in every area of service. My friend and I visited this coffee shop as we were visiting Mandan, and our visit was prefaced with a glare from the worker as we walked in and it stayed until I got to the counter. She wasn't too happy I left the door open for an extra 3 seconds as my friend was a little behind me on the boulevard. We proceeded with the order, and she started on the drinks right away, and didn't have us pay initially, which is normal at places like this. When our drinks were done ( didn't realize this til later) she set them on the counter and never notified us they were ready or anything. finally after 4 people after us got their drinks, we went up to the counter and she acted like everything was fine and gave us a total. Our drinks had been ready for 10 minutes and she just ignored us, omitted any type of communication.

Also, I get 2 6-shot espressos with steamed heavy cream every day, at various places across the state. I ordered it here and got watered down drip coffee. Granted they did not have heavy cream, but what I got was either drip coffee or recycled espresso shots.

The worker, whom I assumed owned the coffee shop since she was in pictures on the wall, was completely ignorant to anything that would even resemble customer service. I would give 0 stars if I could. I read all the reviews and despite bad reviews decided to give this "coffee shop" a try. Well I should have listened to the bad reviews I guess.

If you love drip coffee and gas station coffee this place will be fine. But when I hear coffee shop I expect a latte and not a cup of hot milk with a hint of coffee.

Their espresso shots are not true espresso shots. From what I could see they either use a very light roast, don't have the beans ground for espresso or they don't tamper it enough. Either way it really just wasn't worth it.

We informed the staff that our "lattes" were watery but all they said was "oh it was watery?" And then looked at us in disbelief. We left our full cups at the counter and will...

I live on the road and always seek unique and interesting coffee shops. A quick Google search, and "Cappuccino On Collins" was close by.

How could I go wrong? I didn't. Great place. Homey feel. Constant stream of local customers.

I ordered a Cappuccino... It was in the after all. The barista greeted me as soon as I entered. (That was nice.) A group of people who were sitting at a nearby table greeted me as well.

My cappuccino was well balanced. Made with 2% milk, was just the right amount of creamy. The espresso was not harsh or bitter. They also serve various delicious looking muffins and pastries.

As I sit here and write this review, clusters of people are having conversations and are clearly comfortable here....
