Cake Dreams — Restaurant in Mandan

I was very disappointed in this establishment. I ordered a two tier cake for my granddaughters birthday. I explained what I wanted and the person taking the order asked if I had a cake topper. I said I did not. She asked if she could make one and explained it would cost a $100 for everything. I said that would be fine. She seemed excited over the phone to be making the topper and knew just what she wanted to make. Come to pick the cake and I asked where the topper was. They looked for it and could not find it. I didn’t realize the cupcakes were filled. There might have been a sign, but I didn’t notice. There wasn’t a bunch of filling but the cupcakes don’t need any as they were good on their own. My family, especially the kids, didn’t like the filing and thought it was “weird”. No fault of the store but parking downtown Mandan is a joke and ended up circling a couple blocks to find a parking spot. We were hoping the cupcakes would be more like Gigi’s cupcakes in Fargo. They made our wedding cake, I forgot to take a good picture for myself but it was better than I imagined! We had ours carrot cake and so many people said it was the BEST carrot cake they've ever had! Several people happily took extra cake home with them. We also had a gluten free marbled cake that was eaten up by the end of the night. Would definitely recommend their cakes!
