The only reason they get one star is because it wouldn’t let me give them negative 5-stars. We walked into the restaurant and stood in the doorway waiting to be seated. The hostess repeatedly looked at us out of the corner of her eye several times. The restaurant was half empty, yet she said it would be a 10 minute wait. We waited for the 10 minutes and continued to wait for and additional 25 minutes before we were seated. Our hostess didn’t give us any silverware napkins or anything else. It was about 20 minutes before we got greeted by a server who said she obviously wasn’t ours but she would get our drink order. Since we have been seated 30 minutes prior to being greeted we went ahead and gave her our drink, appetizer, and food order. In the meantime that same server got seated two more times and was very gracious with her time in visiting those tables multiple times meanwhile we still had no drinks and no appetizer and no napkins and silverware. It took about 10 minutes for them to bring our waters to us , Still no straws or napkins. Once we finally got our food, We still didn’t have any silverware so we had to sit there watching our food get cold, after asking multiple times for it. We asked for napkins and the person that brought our food said that they would tell our server that we needed napkins, which a completely different person had brought our food. And guess what, we never got our napkins . We ended up going to the server’s station and getting our own napkins. We also asked for straws and when the person brought us the “straws” we had to ask again because they only brought one straw for our table of five. We had clear irritation in our voices and the server noticed it and snidely replied back, yet she never tried to do better at serving our table. The thing is, they could have made a lot of tips off of our $81 tip being as we tip upwards of 20%, if they had just been a little better on their service. By the time we left we didn’t even know who our server was because we had three different people serve us. There was no manager...
Read moreI called to place a togo order and the bartender informed me that the to go was closed because the restaurant closed in 30 minutes. So I told her I was on my way and I was almost there so if I could just put the order in it would be quicker again she said she couldn't take a to go order and I would have to come in to place the order so I said okay I guess that's what I'll have to do...she hung up in my face. When I arrived less than 5 minutes later probably 15 minutes or so before they closed she locked the door and her and the other servers around the bar pretended not to see us so me and my son went around to the front door and knocked then back to the other door where they were standing and knocked again just to try to get their attention and common courtesy of acknowledgment but they thought it was funny that me and my seven year old son was standing outside in the rain. All he wanted was a molten lava cake which doesn't involve any cooking they could have just put it in a bag but she didn't even take the time to ask me what I wanted or even acknowledge the fact that we were standing 2 ft in front of her knocking on the door she didn't take the time to say sorry the kitchen's closed or even the courtesy to look up and acknowledge us but they found the time to laugh as if it was funny I'm sorry I must be confused I thought they were employees at Chili's I didn't know she owned the restaurant I thought the employee's were supposed to represent the establishment professionally and handle the customers with respect and be courteous even if she couldn't do what I wanted the way she handled it was completely unprofessional and embarrassing. And I actually like that restaurant me and my son go there quite often so he was confused why the girls that are usually nice to him we're being so rude now it just feels weird to go back and have one of those girls serve us. The way this was handled was...
Read moreMy wife, our adult son and I met at the Chilli's in Mandeville. We were immediately greeted by a hostess. We sat in a booth in the bar area. The restaurant was not very crowded for noon time. It was a Sunday so we may have been ahead of some of the other church goers. Our waiter, was Matt. He greeted us at the table. He asked if we had any questions about the menu and took our drink orders. He brought our drinks in just a few minutes. We proceeded to order. As we were ordering Matt made a few suggestions to make the meals better for us. We all ordered the three for $10.99 deals. My son and I had the Old Timer burgers. He ordered his w/o mustard. I ordered mine fully dressed. My wife ordered the Chicken Quesadillas. Part of my order was chips and salsa. Matt placed the pile of chips and salsa on the table. I joked that my wife and son were not allowed to have any. Matt said that was up to me. Matt kept our drinks filled at all times. Our food came and he made sure to give my son the burger w/o mustard. The chips were just about gone and Matt brought out another platter full. As you can figure out we love their chips and salsa. My wife then ordered the molten lava cake (her favorite). She told Matt that it was just for her. When he brought out the cake he had three spoons. He said (with a smile) you never know you guys may get some. Needless to say she ate it all. Matt made our dining experience much more enjoyable. Will definitely request him the next time we are in Chilli's...
