LA Poke & Sushi — Restaurant in Mandeville

I rarely leave bad reviews....but this was honestly the worst treatment I have recieved from an establishment. I came in excited to try the food here for the first time. I told the lady behind the counter it was my first time here. My mom was in a hair appointment so I was planning on enjoying a nice meal with my son inside out of the heat and sun. I had told the lady what size bowls we were getting. I had no idea they didn't have a kids size but it's okay I asked and she said she didn't have it and I decided to still get it for him anyway. I would answer her questions and she would ask them again with attitude and made some small comments in between seeming like she was annoyed that I didn't understand the process. But this was my first time here....Once we got our order, i went to sit down, and she said "that table is unavailable because you ordered take out." I did NOT say I was ordering take out and she never asked if I was ordering for here or to go. Nor should that matter in all honesty. So we were told we were not allowed to eat in the restraunt so my 2 year old and I had to sit and eat in my car. Might I also add, this was infront of a slew of people who just walked in for lunch. So I am heavily embarrassed walking my son out with my hands full of food. Needless to say, I won't be eating here again and will find a place with kinder treatment to...

• BEWARE* ONLY ALLOWED TO DINE IN IF YOU TIP and NOT ALLOWED MORE THAN 1 child to dine in** 5 stars for ONLY food. I have been loyal customer for many years. When I first started going Ms. Rose was so sweet, attentive, and friendly. The last few times I have been she was nothing but rude to me and I do not know why. I quit going for a while thinking maybe she was just having a bad day or something and giving her benefit of the doubt but no she has changed…. at least certainly with me for a reason I do not know. Today, she was especially rude to me . As she was making my bowl I asked if I could have my kids bring their outside food in to eat with me. She said Yes but ONLY if I tip (I later saw this sign on her register) I said well I always tip either way. She okay thats fine, then few minutes later asks me how many I have. I said I have 3 in the running car (ages 12, 3, and 2). She said “oh no no no no, thats too many and I have to clean up too much!” I said well I will clean up after them. She said no “I’m sorry thats just too many kids”. I said so basically you don’t allow kids or I just have “too many”. She said “no too many kids” EXTREMELY...

I hate to leave this review, but must. This place makes very good Poke, and wish I could say Ill be back. Let me explain:

I have frequented this place regularly for the last 3 months after taking a job near here. Went in to get a bowl and even mentioned my love of her sauces. However after I paid for my meal and was waiting for her to build the lunch, she claimed the charge got cancelled and proceeded to try to charge me for a second bowl. I had added tip, so knew it had processed and was able to show her on my banking app. Her response? Call my bank. So i did, and they confirmed the charge. Her response? Id have to fight that with my bank...

I can only assume i caught her in a fradulant scheme, i have contested the charge and left with no lunch. It will take 60 days to hopefully receive my money back, but I simply cannot trust this business anymore, even if it is delicious. My advice? Take cash, and make sure of...
