My girlfriend and I dined at Odelia restaurant this afternoon (Wednesday, November 21, 2024.) It was our first visit to the restaurant. We traveled to the North Shore from River Ridge to have my car serviced. We saw the restaurant on a previous visit to the North Shore. We decided on our next visit we'd dine there. Today was that "next visit." We ordered their quiche with a small side salad. The quiche was cheddar cheese, smoked gouda and bacon. The side salad was fresh delicate greens with one plum tomato sliced in half. I had a hot caffeinated coffee accompanied by hot milk, no sugar. Also, I had the sweet potato bisque soup. The quiche was light, fluffy and silky. The bottom crust was crunchy and very tasty. There was a thin layer of crust atop the quiche. My goodness, the combined flavors of the quiche was outstanding. It was a bit spicy, like pepper. Very palatable. The heat was not overbearing. The quiche being paired with the cool salad was perfection. My sweet potato bisque presented quite the experience for my taste buds. I never had this type bisque before. The bisque was smooth and creamy. The flavor was well-balanced. What can I say about a cup of hot coffee that isnt bitter and doesn't bite back? Mmmm, good. Just drink it. On my next trip to the North Shore, I will dine at Odelia. Oh, for two of us, our bill was $67.00 plus change, not including the tip. Cameron was our Server. He...
Read moreI'm from Houston and drove to Louisiana for Labor Day weekend. I heard Odelias was good so drove 45 min from our hotel to mandeville to try out their lunch menu. Got there at 1:45pm and saw that they closed at 2:30pm. We Ordered right away. We ordered the truffle fries and chicken sandwich. The truffle fries came out at 2:07pm, and asked the waiter, is the fries suppose to be burnt? He proceeded to say yeah, they all come out like that. So i decided to take a look on google pics and yelp and to my surprise, other peoples fries looked nicely cooked and not a burnt fry in sight. I decided not to complain because i felt like the waiter just wanted us to get out the door at 2:30 since that's the time they closed. The chicken sandwich was good though so i give it a 2 stars. I wouldn't come back because of the service but i still gave the guy 20% tip because i don't believe any waiters can live off of less. Just wish he would have given us better service and not lie. The ambiance of the...
Read moreWe chose this adorable place for a family âback to schoolâ brunch on a Sunday. The atmosphere is incredible and we were all super excited as we perused the menu. For starters we got the Parmesan truffle fries and the deviled eggs. The fries were one of the best things Iâve ever eaten. The pimento cheese deviled egg was yummy as were the two other deviled egg offerings. We enjoyed very pricey cocktails that came decorated with real flowers. Everything is presented beautifully. Sadly, our salads and entrees were disappointing. I had the eggs florentine and while the eggs were supposed to be poached, they were well done. Very average. My daughter was excited about the chicken club, but said it lacked flavor and barely ate half. The desserts were delicious, the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e being one of the best Iâve had. We wanted to love this place, but sadly did not. The service was fine, nothing spectacular. If you go, stick to appetizers and cocktails and you wonât be...
