Ok, so I didn't have the food but stopped in to pick up a tapioca drink.
Now half of this problem was my fault and I readily acknowledge that. However, the proprietorship really should let people know their tapioca drinks aren't smoothies but flavored milk over ice cubes. I can't possibly be the first person who ordered a tapioca drink in this restaurant, only to be served some milk drink instead of the smoothie people might normally expect.
Anyway, I kept my end of the bargain, paid 11 dollars for two drinks that were made with flavored powder and milk and went about my way.
The star rating in this review however represents how legitimately bad this drink tasted. A bit sour and barely sweet. I had mango and the wife had coconut. Neither of us could finish it.
The food may be fine here, I wouldn't know but the tapioca drinks...
Read moreI have been here about 6 or 7 times. Always had great experiences up until tonight. My husband and I went to eat there around 6:45, stayed until 7:55, they close at 8:30. Food was good, not great. 2 servers talked amongst themselves the whole time in what I assume was Vietnamese, TOTALLY FINE. The only thing one server said about 30 times in English while laughing with the other server was "Go home, Go home, Go home" on and on for the last 10-15 minutes we were there. I'm not sure if it is because we were the only table they had the whole time or what, but RUDE. We will go clear across town to eat at Pho Cong from now on. BTW, we are extremely quiet and respectful, so I really dont know what her problem could be, other than laziness and a lack of basic...
Read moreBanh mi sandwich was way overpriced. I've traveled all over the U.S. and never in my life paid $12 for a pork banh mi. $3 for extra grilled pork, which I couldn't tell that there were 3oz of extra meat, I wonder if the regular size is a lot smaller. I've had some amazing banh mi with extra meat and never paid no more than $9. In Nola it's about $4 for a good size, Cali is about $2.50 for one, and in Atlanta and Texas is about $3.50. Even in Jackson, MS where there is only one shop that sells it, sells it for $7.50. This is way overpriced for the cheapest cut of meat PORK, other than that the grilled meat was fine. Marinade was good, grill on it had a nice char, bread was flaky...but I'll go elsewhere...
