Came in here for a quick lunch and had the 2 items for $11 lunch special. I chose the spicy salmon roll and the tuna roll. At first glance at the lunch menu, I was surprised to see that there is no salmon roll listed anywhere. I also ordered a separate salmon hand roll which was not listed under the handrolls section in the menu. The server I had was really nice and said the chef can make it for me, for the same price. Now, onto the food. Food tasted pretty average. I did have to say I am not a big fan of the spicy salmon roll. There's something about the spicy salmon that tastes quite different from other spicy salmon rolls I have had before. The tuna roll was pretty straightforward. I did enjoy my salmon handroll though, which I kinda wish they have just a salmon roll option or something. The restaurant is pretty spacious and clean. This place did not quite blow me away, and given that we have other sushi options in the South Bay area, I am not sure if I'll come back here again. Let's see.

Osho is the BEST sushi in the South Bay, hands-down. I always check their specials whiteboard posted above the sushi bar to see what daily catches they have ! The fish is always fresh. I love the cucumber calamari salad; it is light and refreshing. The spicy yellowtail handroll is the best one I have ever had. The fish is excellent and the taste speaks for itself, not covered in mayo like a lot of other local places… This is a family run restaurant and still has most of the same staff they’ve had for the passed 30 years. It is not the cheapest place in town, but it is priced fairly considering the quality is excellent and very fresh. I highly recommend. The soft shell crabbed is also something special !

This place is nice, but has some insignificant drawbacks. First, it is very loud inside, when many groups are dining because the room is tiny, and the tables are packed closer together. Second, our waitress wasn’t very friendly and attentive, but she was busy, since the place was full. The atmosphere overall is welcoming. The food was pretty good. One issue is that the cup of tea was only half-full. Another is that crispy rice sushi are way too spicy in our opinion. Tamago sushi were delicious, so were the blue crab rolls, but they resembled California roll too much. Udon soups were fantastic and very balanced. The food is brought very quickly, even though there were a lot of people.

We have been patrons of this establishment for many years and it has been a favorite primarily for the locals, which I am. Unfortunately service and quality have lately not been as good as in the past. Our teriyaki chicken was decidedly rubbery, not having been prepared fresh but seemingly rewarmed. The server forgot to bring the rice and the tempura dipping sauce having awkwardly to flag down and ask someone for it. With the salads it appears that the quantity of dressing is skimpily provided. Also in recent times we felt that the server was not that particularly friendly to a degree that we start feeling uncomfortable. We still like O-Sho Restaurant and hope to have again better dining experiences. The local patrons are loyal, supported this restaurant throughout the hardship of the Covid-19 pandemic, the owners and staff should...
