The Rock is the first church I attended after being saved and it’s absolutely life changing! Pastor Curt and his wife Lori welcomed me in with open arms as a baby Christian and helped me develop a deep Biblical understanding and relationship with our Lord. I can never express the gratitude for the church and community they’ve built! The service goes through the Bible with amazing messages every Sunday, plus the prayer and Bible study small groups are filled with so much love and wisdom. They’ve truly become my family and I am grateful into eternity! If you’re looking for a small, loving, community-oriented, Biblical church that will take you in and heal your heart, this is it! Also very family friendly, with lots of families and kids and a great kids ministry. And the worship is beautifully acoustic and moving. I also got water baptized with the Rock and it was an incredible experience, Pastor Curt led me through the entire process and the whole church showed up to support and...
Read moreMy heart broke the day I moved away from the Rock. This is such a special church family. I started going to the Rock right at the beginning of Covid and they were very creative in finding ways for us to worship God together and grow in the Lord's love. The Rock provides a surprising number of opportunities to meet together throughout the week for Bible studies, prayer groups, men's and women's groups, marriage class, and, my personal favorite, theology! We also build homes in Mexico every Summer, have regular BBQs in the Summer, volunteer/donate during Christmas time for families struggling with finances, and souch more. I've been a Christian my entire life, but I grew closer to the Lord while at the Rock than ever in my life. I'm so grateful for my Rock family, and even though I moved away, I still know they are my family that I love. If you're struggling to find community in the South Bay, this is your home, these are your people. Please come...
Read moreThe worship team, pastor, youth leaders, and the rest of the staff are wonderful people. The Rock also offers many different kinds of connect groups throughout the week -- like women's/men's bible study groups. There are also volunteer opportunities such as missions trips to Mexico to build homes for the homeless or work with at-risk youth; volunteering with Family Promise (helping homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence); and missions trips to Uganda. Once a month The Rock has a fun and causal barbecue, which serves as another great opportunity to meet new people from the South Bay and beyond.
If you're looking to connect with other Christians or those seeking and/or looking to find a new church that you can call home, I would recommend checking out The...
