I was a patron for breakfast and ordered mild chilaquiles and my friend ordered the same dish but spicy. Unfortunately, they served us the wrong dishes and my friend continued to eat hers thinking it just wasn't as spicy as she thought, while I on the other hand was not able to enjoy my meal because it was too spicy and made for a very unpleasant experience.
I notified the woman who served our dishes and understood it was a mistake as the chef told her incorrectly that she had the spicy dish to serv my friend. She did offer to get a new one made for me, but because my mouth was uncomfortable, I couldn't really eat anything anymore at that point. That said, I wish the next solution was to comp the dish. I’m not entitled to a free meal, but by principle feel that establishments should know and train their staff to find ways to make sure people walk away with a positive experience. The food (from what I could tell) was delicious and I didn't want to leave a poor review on Yelp/Google because of this one incident that could have been easily rectified in the moment, but I had reached out to the owner via email to make him aware of my experience and never heard back. Maybe it doesn’t matter because it was just about a “spicy” dish, but mistakes like this could be more threatening if it was a mistake on an order due to allergies or other dietary restrictions. All I asked was for acknowledgment by...
Read moreI go to this place very often. I’ve never had a bad experience. They’ve always been nice, and the service has been good. The only thing is that they do take a while for the food. Around 30 mins…I ordered the chilaquiles and it was a little too salty, I didn’t finish it because of it. I don’t like complaining about the food, that’s why I did not say anything. Once we walked in, there was seating available so we were seated right away. And two minutes after, the server Adolfo told my friend that her dog had pooped by the entrance. And he kept repeating the same sentence out loud and the people around us could hear it too. My friend felt pretty embarrassed and she wanted to leave since the server was not discrete about it. If we would’ve known that the dog had pooped then we would’ve taken care of it but we didn’t notice or were aware of it since it was super small and the dog never actually stopped at any moment. We almost left because of Adolfo’s attitude towards us but we decided to stay.. since we were hungry and had already paid for parking. I didn’t enjoy todays experience. I am not sure if we will be...
Read moreBeautiful chill view. We went on a Friday and arrived at 9 a.m. Parking was easy! Price point was great! Four meals with beverages plus gratitude was approx. $110.
The waffles were a great texture. I sub the eggs for hash browns. Usually, I would have to doctor up potatoes at places, but here they were well seasoned. Unfortunately, I they did not have turkey bacon so I can't give my perspective on the bacon. However, those I dined with really enjoyed it.
The coffee was beautifully designed, super strong with fluffy foam.
Dining is outdoors only.
Bathroom is a walk through the outskirts of the kitchen.
Staff was very personable, really knew the menu and very attentive but not overbearing.
It is a nice place for a first "get to know you" date, catching up with old friends, informal business meeting. However, if privacy is what your are seeking, this space may not be ideal.
Concerns about social distancing, consider doing take out or getting there bright and early.
