Myself and a few friends have been wanting to check out Goolsby's since it opened. We gave it try on 16 June 2021. As a whole, the venue is beautiful. The bar top and lounge tables appear to be custom wood; the entire place is sparkling clean. The staff members were professional and polite. We really enjoyed the self-pour system and the fact about 80% of their taps are local to Kansas. We collectively have a few complaints: Considering we're finally coming out of this pandemic nonsense, it would behoove management to enforce the use of clean glasses with each new pour to avoid cross contamination and the spread of germs. While my party was sitting at one of lounge tables next to the pour system, we witnessed 2 patrons reusing their dirty glasses at the taps. Granted, there are 2 rinse stations built into the tap system, but these patrons did not use them. Some signage explaining why using clean glasses is a good idea, and maybe management oversight/enforcement would be beneficial. Another complaint we had was the cleanliness of the glasses. There were a few on the wall for use that were covered in smudges, smears, and fingerprints. It was kind of a put off. Lastly, and this is really a matter of personal taste, we weren't really vibing with the choice of music being played. I know many people in the area love their country music, but maybe add some variety to the playlist. Overall, we enjoyed the place and will return. Hopefully, some of these new establishment hiccups will work...
Read moreFirst time in for a private party. Although the walk-in customers came right in as well, so not the greatest if you are trying to keep an event exclusive. The big draw here is the self-serve beer taps with a wide selection of exotic, local, and national favorites. At .40 cents an ounce to .80 cents a draw can easily cost you $8 a glass. The Blue moon is my go-to, and it was totally flat, not a bubble. I did taste a couple of others that were interesting, but such strong flavors and sours that you wouldn't want a full glass on any flavor.
The atmosphere was fun, and there were many games to be played, including a mini bowling alley, giant Jenga, even a steer roping booth. Don't forget the digital golf range either, it was...
Read moreInteresting concept, but I do not recommend. Staff and "management" unfortunately are clueless. They mess up and set the lane up incorrectly for 2 people instead of 5 like we asked. We get 4 frames through the game and it turns off. We were told it was only set up for 2 people so if we wanted to play another game we would have to pay for a new game. They screw up and punish us for it. All you had to do was decrepit us 2 players and we would have stayed. Instead you will lose future business forever in a small town over $10. Great business decision. I'll be shocked if this place isn't shut down for underage drinking or just a lack of business from the incompetent people running...
