Local ☕ and related treats without the roasting coffee smell (if you don't like that odor). The cinnamon buns, bars and muffins are tasty. (I recommend getting buns and muffins heated and adding a bit of butter before sharing these huge treats.) The menu at this location is not as extensive as at the bakery location. That said, the staff here will work with you (as much as possible) to get you what you want.
People with specialty diets should know that they will have to do some work here. While not the most gluten free place, you can find a few options that work and, with some thought, you can work out Paleo and Whole30 options, too.
Westside MHK locals fill up the inside tables quickly, but you can usually find a solo table near an outlet. The patio is a lovely little option and, when the weather is tolerable, you can keep your friendly, leashed🐕 with you...

No big deal they get busy, I ask for our drinks and pastry, take the pastry to my table grab my drink and the two others. I don’t like mine so I simply asked would they like me to just toss it or would they like to dump it because I don’t care for it. As I go to leave the woman in the kitchen and the girl who took my drink were laughing and making fun about me not like the drink. I never asked for a refund or a different drink, I just didn’t like the Thai tea. I left almost in tears. This place is normally nice, warming and good. But today the food was terrible, and the service besides the blonde girl who took our order was...

The last few times we've been to this location, the Americano was weak, the chai latte was super weak (didn't leave the tea in like they used to), and the kids working didn't seem too worried about whether or not they were earning their pay. We asked about some of the chocolates for sale and the employees didn't have any answers, even to how much they cost - they just said they (the chocolates) usually sit there for a really long time and they don't know much about them. Soooo, this is why I'm leaving two stars. I hope they step up their game again - we used to be big fans - but we'll wait a year or so before giving them (at any location)...
