Pho and Eggrolls are the best! BUT this restaurant is incompetent. Before the pandemic this business was thriving, the owner/staff were very welcoming, and they were starting to get very popular from having more experience in business. After they opened up again, this place hasnt been the same. laziness and carelessness is starting to show in the business and soon I’m pretty sure they’re going to close down. They literally never have more than half of what’s on the menu available to order/buy. I can never go into the restaurant and order all the things I want because these people never prepare enough or buy enough ingredients. I talked to the owner about her always out of food and she told me to call and order before showing up to the restaurant to dine in. She also wants us to call and order appetizers before coming in or we won’t get any because she won’t prepare them. What kind of business is this?? The price on all their food has increased drastically whereas the pho is now around $14 and their portion has gotten even smaller. Don’t ask for Eggrolls because they don’t have it even though it’s on the menu. Don’t ask for Banh mi because they don’t have it even though it’s on the menu. Don’t ask for steamed rolls because they don’t have it even though it’s on the menu. Just don’t ask for anything besides pho because they don’t have it even though it’s...
Read moreI'm always on the lookout for a good Phở. At most Vietnamese joints, you can tell how authentic their Phở is by looking at the meat selections. I don't consider it very authentic if they don't have the kind of choices most Americans don't eat e.g. tendons & tripes. At the minimum, they need to have the rare/raw steak slices. In term of Phở, this place does the meat very well! The texture and taste are just right. However, in many ways the broth is very (if not the most) important part in Phở. Though good, I personally find the broth here to be more on the sweeter side. It's not a deal breaker since this is definitely a personal preference. The noodle was done right, so I'm glad about that part. May be "on the sweeter side" is a general theme here, because even the nước chấm (dipping sauce) quite sweet. The pork chop was also sweet, but that's not too surprising. That said, I definitely would go back again. I would love to go back and try their bánh mì...
Read moreLittle hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant with delicious food. I did read another reviewer’s post about the owners speaking in Vietnamese badly about the customers and I mean personally I didn’t hear them talking loudly or anything but it wouldn’t surprise me if that happened. The other reviewer was also correct though that after you sit, you get a menu and order (the Asian man came up to us) and then when you’re done you pay up front. You do have to stand there until they acknowledge you to even get your bill. Not sure how they do that and be that inattentive about it considering people easily could just walk out without paying lol
I liked the staff and didn’t have a problem with any of them. They gave us our food pretty quickly. No complaints about this and do recommend trying it if you’re into hole in the wall...
